Lovely hotel! Would definitely stay again. On the same street as all the shops. The staff are incredibly friendly. Room service is excellent. My son was poorly so ordered a lot to our room and came within 20 mins. Room was spotless. Cannot fault.
Staff really friendly & helpful. Room quiet, as requested. Room clean. Bathroom smelled of damp but no physical evidence. Only issue was one thin pillow each. Asked for extras but told there was a shortage due to people stealing them so added onto a list. No extra pillows provided. Staff apologised for this at check out
I stayed in room 3 on the ground floor and I thought the experience as a whole was alright, gets the job done if that’s all you need.
There were some things I thought were a bit strange however.
The shower was the main thing, it was stuck on full power which was crazy fast. It also didn’t stay in place because it was so powerful and kept turning into the wall. When I had pointed it facing out, it would point to the window (which was in the shower) and begin to fill up the window sill. Additionally, the sliding door had broken and it was replaced with a flimsy shower curtain which Barry managed to cover the gap.
The room was a little dark but other than that was fine. The bed was fine too.
Dinner is room service or you can have it in the bar area if you’d like. There isn’t a restaurant however and the bar area isn’t incredibly suitable for a meal with a family, fine on my own though. The menu consisted of pub food and each item was between £11-15 for the majority. There is a pizza and alcohol deal for £15 which is what I had, which was fine.
Breakfast was £11.75 I think and was a buffet in one of the service rooms and was pretty good.
Overall I think my experience was pretty poor but the room was very clean and the staff were very helpful and polite

They only do the room when the guest check out but not during stay so if you need anything you have to come to the reception and get it yourself. Therefore the luxury of bed made, simple room amenities are carried out with DIY method. The question is why bother leave the sign for the guest to choose between ”don't disturb” or ”please make up my room”? Receptionist could gain some customer service mindset from proper training.
What a great find! The room was better than we expected, so clean and a massive bed. We paid more for a river view and were so happy we did as we had a cute balcony and could open the window doors and stand there and look out at the river.
The breakfast was amazing and we were asked whatever type of egg we wanted and it was made fresh.
We spoke to a great member of staff called Magda and she was so friendly and polite and would do anything for us.
We will definitely come back again.

A big thank you to Akhil, Nikhil, Abhishek, Hava, Safa, Ali, Darshini, and Laura — each of them went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. Their friendly attitude, helpful suggestions, and warm hospitality made us feel at home.
Overall, Orchid Epsom is a great choice for anyone visiting the area — a peaceful stay with exceptional staff and great service. Highly recommended, and we’d happily stay here again.
Great stay, the rooms are very well designed, warm and cosy, and right next to the Virginia Water park. The staff were great and there is plenty of parking. All I’ll say on the negative side is that the pastry on the apple tart was soggy… pastry should never be soggy! I even checked with the staff and were told “it’s supposed to be like that” …. But I won’t hold strange soggy pastry against what was a great stay.
The stay was very comfortable, though the facilities were not similar to Holiday Inn. Very neat and clean rooms. The hospitality of the staff was very good. Overall, it was a very good stay, as the Epsom race course area is also very beautiful. Only minus point is busy facilities are not very nearby from the hotel.

GGuest UserShower had no pressure and not very hot . Room cold no heating. Bedding was only sheet when we ask for a duvet was given a sheet to keep warm . Plus they only had one bath towel for a couple. Won’t be staying here again . Very disappointed with noise early in morning
GGuest UserBreakfast should have been served until 10 am. We got into the restaurant 9.15 and there was hardly anything left, One spoonful of scrambled egg which I had to gather from around the pan for my husband - none for me, no bacon, no sausage, no hash brown or tomato. They did have beans!! Having asked and waited, we got a bit of bacon and some sausages that were so hard we could hardly cut them!! Then , at 10am they asked us to leave the room because they had to get it ready for something else. Our bedroom was ok but there was a skylight in the roof and the sun came flooding in just after 4 am so I didn’t sleep. Waste of time having black out curtains at the window when you don’t cover the skylight. The teaspoons on the dressing table had not been washed. The shower was nice but the water came out all over the floor - our friends had the same in their room. All in all not a good experience and I wouldn’t stay there again. I did mention all of this to the reception guy but he just smiled at me. Not sure if he spoke English!
YYorkshire visitingI had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Hampton by Hilton Gatwick. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and eager to help — check-in was fast and seamless. The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given how close the hotel is to the terminal.
The bed was super comfortable, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the powerful shower, great lighting, and plenty of charging points. The complimentary breakfast was excellent too — lots of choice, fresh food, and great coffee to start the day right before my flight.
The location couldn’t be better — it’s directly connected to the North Terminal, making it perfect for early flights or late arrivals. Despite being an airport hotel, it felt calm and relaxing, which made all the difference.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Top-notch service, comfort, and convenience — Hampton by Hilton Gatwick truly sets the standard for airport hotels!

AAnonymous UserComfortable, clean, and readily accessible via the Gatwick Hoppa shuttle bus, this was a good choice for an overnight transfer via another London airport with departure from Gatwick the following morning. Unfortunately there was some really loud hammering noises at nearly 11pm that prevented us from having the sleep we had hoped for. Neighbouring guests thankfully took care of alerting the hotel staff, and the noises did later cease. Still not an altogether pleasant experience.
GGuest UserBrilliant location, only 5 minutes by bus from/to Gatwick Airport with a bus stop located outside the Guest House. My flight arrived after midnight, but after calling them 24 hours in advance, letting them know they left my room keys in a safe place. Very well informed of how to get there. It's a family run business, and they do care about their customers! Opted in for a continental breakfast, and I was also offered a homemade cake for free!
The place does show its signs of age and will definitely benefit from having a renovation. But otherwise, everything else was fantastic!
