Opened in 2025, the Travelodge Dumbarton is a great accommodation choice in Dumbarton. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Bowling located approximately 2km away and Glasgow Airport roughly 20km away. Seeing Dumbarton's sights from this hotel is easy with Lang Craigs Woodland Trust Woods, Overtoun House and Levengrove Park all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city.
Was extremely dubious after reading previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Our room (8) was clean with a lovely refurbished bathroom (large walk in shower). Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and complimentary breakfast was fine. Tea/coffee and toast brought to us which is all I require in the mornings. There was also a selection of cereals and other items available. We were attending a party nearby and the hotel overall met our requirements perfectly.
The room is spacious and bright. It is recommended to live in a lake view room. It is worth adding more money. Especially in the summer evening, the sunset is very free to see the lake feeding the seagulls. This hotel is suitable for the north trip to rest. The hotel is fully equipped. In the evening, the bar has a cup to see the lake scenery.
Had a very pleasant stay , thank you to the front desk for arranging our preferred room type with ease. Pleasant clean room with a bath tub and a quiet area to get a good sleep. We didn't have breakfast included but purchased at the hotel , the full Scottish breakfast was fantastic and very tasty . The location is perfect , there is a bus stop outside that can take you to various points of loch lomond and the buses take contact less too.
Stayed here to attend a wedding at Boturich castle. Requested early check in and managed to get into our room at 11am before booking a taxi to drop us at the venue. Room was spotless and had everything we needed. Bed was really comfortable and spacious.
Room was ideal for a 1 night stay and value for money too.I would recommend using the local bus to Dalmuir or Singer stations to travel into Glasgow City Centre
Great hotel, friendly service. Great food. Location handy for Dumbarton town centre and Loch Lommand.
