We are really disappointed that there was only 1 toilet for the apartment booked and nothing can be fixed . refunding EUR 70.00 is not what we are expecting, we would rather have a better experience. 💰 Price & Value I paid €75/night. I booked the hotel just 1 day before my departure. Considering hotel prices in Reykjavík and this hotel's location, I think it offers great value for money. If you have a very generous budget, you could stay at the EDITION Reykjavík, which is closer to the opera house, right in the city center, and offers beautiful river and mountain views. Personally, I'd rather save the money and spend it on an unique hotel somewhere else in Iceland like Eleven Deplar Farm, Highland Base, Blue Lagoon, etc. The location is convenient for exploring Reykjavík. There aren't many activities in downtown Reykjavík besides shopping for local Icelandic brands, so I think 2 days in the city is enough. 🛏️ Room & Cleanliness Overall, the hotel was very clean, and the entire property always smelled fresh. I stayed in a basement room, so my window faced the wall of the next building. It wasn't a big issue since I spent most of my time outside, but it's something worth knowing before booking. The room felt a little cold when I first checked in. I informed the staff n they fixed the heating issue very quickly. I traveled at the beginning of April 2026, and Iceland was still quite cold, so I recommend staying somewhere with a good heating system. *One small downside: there was no complimentary bottled water 🍽️ Breakfast My booking included breakfast, and I'm really glad it did. The pastries were excellent and suited my taste. Since eating out in Reykjavík is expensive, I highly recommend adding the hotel's breakfast buffet. It's much better value than buying breakfast outside. 🤝 Service The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. On my last day, the weather became terrible with heavy rain. I asked if I could borrow an umbrella, and the staff member was happy to help. The only area where I think the service could be improved was at check-in. I was traveling alone as a woman with a suitcase, and no one offered to help bring my luggage to my room. It would have been a thoughtful touch if the staff had simply asked whether I needed assistance. 📸 Final Thoughts I didn't take many photos of the room. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, offered excellent breakfast, and the staff were very helpful whenever I needed assistance. Considering the market price, I would definitely say it was worth the money. I'm a very detail-oriented traveler who pays close attention to cleanliness, comfort, and service. Dusty and run-down. The accommodation was really poor for a small hotel. The city center is beautiful to walk around, but there's no front desk, so it's self-check-in. I guess that's just how it is in Iceland 🇮🇸. It's a bit of a walk to the main street, but manageable.

I booked the same hotel for the first three days of my trip, and Ctrip really offered the best price. They even refunded the difference when the price dropped later, which I really appreciate – thanks to the responsive customer service! The overall environment is very cozy, though the room was indeed a bit small. It was very clean, the breakfast was abundant, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel provides free coffee and hot chocolate; the hot chocolate was quite good. Like most hotels in Iceland, they don't provide shampoo or slippers. It's a little far from the city center attractions.

The accommodation is conveniently located near Bus Stop 6, which is also where our day tour picked us up. It's also close to Rainbow Street and the city center. The room was comfortable but a bit small; for two people, there wasn't quite enough space to fully open our luggage.

The hostel was clean, cozy, and had a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The room was neat, and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The location was convenient, close to restaurants and tourist attractions. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel's location is excellent, and parking is super convenient and free. The room isn't huge, and the bathroom is a bit small, but it's very clean, and the bedding is fresh and comfortable. The front desk staff are also very friendly.

The room's cleanliness was decent, and while there weren't disposable slippers, towels were provided. It was much better and quieter than a hostel. I accidentally left my small stainless steel bowl in the dishwasher. On my last night in Reykjanesbær, I even saw the Northern Lights right next to the whale skeleton, hoping to share some good luck with everyone! 😬

Maybe it is my fault for expecting hotels in Iceland to have little to no, if not relatively poor service as a whole, but my booking issues with them, the communication leading up to the stay and overall interaction with staff was next to none, Save for the on-site staff that I got to bump into, it's pretty much non-existent. The Booking itself, alongside a mistake with the app, and the hotel refusing to offer direct communication, and lying throughout the whole ordeal when it came to ”calling back” was literal hell. That being said the say was, fine? It's a place to rest, that's all I can say. The breakfast was definitely pathetic, but like the first statement it might've been my fault for expecting something substantial,. Definitely don't get the breakfast, don't use the hot coffee/cocoa machine since it's broken or unfilled half the time. Seek out amenities at the grocery stores nearby instead.

This place is located south of Reykjavik and was a good fit for our last night's stay after finishing our ring road trip. The room was generally clean and tidy. The only downside was that the sink leaked onto the floor, which was a bit inconvenient to use. The booking website indicated two single beds, but both the photos and the actual room we received had one large bed.
