"Perfect place next to bus station and 5 minutes from train. Has a safe. Cons: Hot water isn’t hot enough. Heat isn’t hot enough so you have to still get smothered under the blanket. Triple beds was very nice"

AAnonymous UserWe recently stayed at Mangia's Sardinia Resort for one week, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. When we arrived at around 3:30 pm, we were told our room was not yet ready, which we completely understood. The reception staff asked us to wait at the bar next to reception and said they would inform us as soon as the room was available. However, after waiting for two and a half hours without any update, we went back to reception ourselves, only to be told that our room had been ready for some time and they had simply forgotten to inform us. This was not a great start to our holiday. We also booked boat trips through the resort for Saturday and Sunday. We were asked to pay for the Sunday trip first because they weren't sure whether the Saturday trip would be available. We were told they would send us a message with an update, but we never received one. The day before, we had to go back to reception to ask again, only to find out that the reception and the boat excursion desk are managed separately, so the reception staff couldn't help us, and by then the excursion desk was already closed. Better communication between departments would have avoided this inconvenience. The resort has four restaurants, but three of them require advance reservations. By the time we arrived on our first day and tried to book, they were already fully booked for most of our stay. Since we were staying for seven nights, it was very disappointing that we were only able to dine at one of the specialty restaurants. Guests staying for a full week should have a better opportunity to experience the different dining options. Finally, we also had a disappointing experience at the Lime Bar. The kitchen officially closes at 5:30 pm, and we arrived at around 5:00 pm hoping to order burgers and sandwiches. We were told they could not accept any more orders because there were already too many in the queue, and they wanted to finish serving by 5:30 pm. It was frustrating to be turned away 30 minutes before the advertised closing time. Overall, while the resort itself is beautiful and has great potential, the organisation and communication between staff and departments need significant improvement. Unfortunately, these repeated issues affected our holiday, and for that reason I cannot say we were fully satisfied with our stay.

GGuest UserAVOID THIS PROPERTY! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE OWNERS. The room itself was just ok but no WIFI in the bedroom - it only worked in the entranceway which was a big nuisance. The hosts are horrible and try to scam you. After we checked out I realised I had left something in the room but was unable to get back in as we had put the keys in the drop box already. I waited outside the main apartment entrance whilst I got in contact with the hosts who were going to send a housekeeper out, but while I was waiting a guest from one of the other bedrooms arrived so I was able to follow them into the apartment, where I was then able to access our room as I had left it unlocked when we checked out and was able to retrieve my items. A couple of hours later I received a very rude email from the hosts accusing me of forcing the door open and damaging the lock, stating that I will be liable for repair costs. Considering they have many CCTV cameras within in the apartment entranceway you'd think they would review the camera footage before rudely accusing a guest. Had they actually bothered to look at the footage they would have seen that all I did was follow someone (who had keys) into the apartment and then open our unlocked bedroom door - there was absolutely no forcing or damaging of the door. I don't know how they think they could get away with trying to scam someone like this when there is clear evidence that it did not happen, as if someone would pay for damages they did not cause. It's laughable that they would even think they could get away with that. I was very restrained in my reponse to them and kindly informed them that, as I had previously mentioned, all I did was follow someone into the apartment and opened our unlocked door, but surprise surprise they ignored me and didn't bother to respond any further - absolutely no apology from them which was unbelievable. Stay here at your own risk - there are much nicer properties around, I wouldn't recommend giving these people a cent of your money.

GGuest UserYou get what you pay for. Has all the basics, no frills. Staff friendly and assisted with my case as there is no lift. TV remote was temperamental, reported this and was told I would be getting a replacement the next day, no replacement forthcoming but wasn’t a big deal as only Italian channels. Coffee machine in the room was pre-filled with water but coffee pods have to be purchased separately.  The wash basin had cracks, the shower was initially hit but soon went quite cool almost cold. The white bath towel had marks on it! The double bed was made up from 2 single mattresses which were not adjoined therefore, mid sleep the two parted company by some 6 inches .The street is reasonably quiet evening time however, early morning sees the nearby businesses empty the previous evening empty bottles into the bin directly positioned below my room. There is also a school nearby where the little ones gather waiting for the doors to open, the excited chatter didn’t bother me but it might some people. Great location for good shops/restaurants/cafes, train and buses and easy walk to the beautiful Marina.

SSopartWe absolutely loved our stay at Il Nuovo Gabbiano. The location is fantastic, right next to the port and in the centre of everything. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away! The view from the balcony was incredible with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Despite it being right next to the port, noise was minimal. Breakfast was extra at €14pp each day however we chose to buy juice and pastries from the nearby supermarket to have out on the balcony every morning. The room was fairly big and contained a mini bar (only containing bottles of water) and coffee/tea making facilities. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. There’s no parking, however we parked in the port across the road for €6 per day. We came later in the day so we managed to find a spot, it gets quite packed early morning. The hotel restaurant does great food, I would recommend the Sardinian ravioli with potatoes and cheese!

GGuest UserGreat location by the beach, very friendly staff, clean. The room in itself was rather freshly renovated. But for a 3 star hotel, even for Italian standards, I think there should be at least a small fridge/minibar and a free power socket for charging my phone without having to unplug the TV..not a big deal, just suggestion for minor improvement. The reason I had a terrible second night and did not get much rest in general however is the non existent sound proofing and the infamous mechanism for making the doors slam extra loud. I had some sick neighbor who was puking, coughing and ”going to the toilet” all night long, I could sadly hear everything in detail.

GGuest UserI had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient—just a 7-minute walk to the bus station, and there’s a supermarket only a few meters away, which made things really easy. The room was clean, spacious, and included a balcony, which was a nice touch. The shower was also excellent, with good water pressure and temperature control. What really stood out was the staff—they were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay.

LLinda KassimThe hotel is located in the centre of Cagliari.Very close to restaurants, bars and also short walking distance. Good customer service..Overall,I love the antique interior design.. especially the lift and the room decorations. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the front desk for giving his best service due to our early departure. He told us he could provide us early breakfast as we need to leave the hotel by 6 in the morning. Likewise, the breakfast was served right in front of our room. Highly recommended!!!Good service!!!

FFausto SpotoA nice hotel in front of the sea. The room was good, tidy and clean. The place was silent during night and day. The internal restaurant is ok but not impressive. There is no wifi in the rooms (only in the reception) and the telephone network is weak in that area and almost absent in the rooms. This can be a problem if you are there for work, but otherwise it's enough to move into the reception. Globally, I suggest this place as an alternative to the Flamingo hotel, whose facilities are accessible from this hotel anyway

GGuest UserI love the place! I had a wonderful stay at L’Esagono. The service was a bit formal and “by the book,” but always friendly, professional, and helpful. The rooms have small porches and practical touches like hooks both outside and inside. The grounds are beautiful and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Breakfast was rich and offered something for every taste. After check-out I could store my luggage and still use all the facilities, which was great. I’ll happily come back!
