The hotel is conveniently located, just a five-minute walk from Miyazaki Station. The station itself has many dining options and souvenir shops to explore. It's about a 15-minute walk to Ichiban-gai, which also offers plenty of food choices. The service attitude is good, and overall, it's a decent, no-frills stay.
🛌 The room was perfectly suited for two people, even with two large pieces of luggage. A minor drawback was that the air conditioning felt a bit warm. 🌬️
🏨 The hotel’s location near the JR train station and the shopping area is just a 15-minute walk.
🚙 Parking is available in the basement for 1000 Yen per night. I’d recommend dropping off luggage at the entrance before parking for convenience.
👩🏻💼 The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more comfortable.
This stay was great! The room is clean and comfortable, with complete facilities and a soft and comfortable bed. The service staff is friendly and enthusiastic, making people feel at home. The breakfast options are varied and delicious. The geographical location is convenient and there are many attractions to visit nearby. Overall, it is cost-effective and recommended to travelers who want to relax. I will come again next time!
Location is very good, right next to JR station, there is a mall next to it. Hotel is very clean, staffs are very friendly. We stayed in summer, was assigned the top floor room, so the room was a bit hot during the day time, it was ok during the night time.
The room was very clean, but it was a bit inconvenient that there was no kettle and only disposable paper cups. It's quite a distance from the station, so you need to take a bus to get there and back. Breakfast was very simple, just two rice balls, which was actually perfect for someone who doesn't usually eat breakfast, as I could take them to eat on the train.
Around 6:00 a.m., the doorbell rang, but it turned out to be the wrong number. Two hours later, I was woken up by an apology call from the lobby. Anyone with a bit of common sense wouldn't have called me so early. My weekend was ruined. Afterward, the lobby manager apologized several times, which was a bit of a gesture of sincerity. I hope this hotel doesn't make such stupid mistakes again!
This hotel's rooms are definitely a weakness, but the service and amenities are surprisingly good. No wonder the front desk mentioned at check-in that they've been ranked number one in Japan for customer satisfaction for the past few years. The canteen has everything you could want, and in the evenings, they offer a wide variety of drinks, including complimentary sake. Children can make their own shaved ice, and if they're hungry, they can enjoy chazuke (tea porridge) or curry and raw egg rice. The morning menu is also quite varied, and you can even make your own soba noodles. While the onsen is small, it's thoughtfully equipped with a spacious powder room for ladies, complete with skincare products, a hairdryer, and a hair straightener. We were initially a little disappointed with the small room, but these amenities instantly boosted our satisfaction. If you're passing through Miyazaki for a night, I highly recommend this hotel, and transportation is also very convenient. While it's located near izakayas and pubs, it's recommended to avoid children at night. The hotel itself is very safe.
The hotel is located near the business district, with DONKI nearby, as well as many izakayas and restaurants.
The quarantine hotel already has a parking lot, and overnight parking costs 1,000 yen.
There is a hot spring on the top floor, and you can have popsicles after soaking in the hot spring.
Please have ramen for supper after 9:30pm
Best cost valuable hotel for my Miyazaki business trip as always. Good location (night drink street Nishitachi street is beside), Room Cleanness and Free casual breakfast. Really best for business purpose
Thank you for staying with us for two nights.
I was happy that there was a wide variety of welcome drinks available.
There were also toys available for rent for small children, which my child enjoyed playing with and never got bored of.
(I was very grateful that they were able to lend them out for free, but the toy I borrowed was not working properly, and I wish they had told me about it beforehand.)

MMaria FlinkWhen I saw where the hotel was located, I immediately knew that I wanted to stay there because I dreamed of seeing Amanoiwato Jinja. I went to the cave twice, in the morning and in the evening, there is a very beautiful road, and it only takes about 20 minutes to walk. It is also easy to get to Takachiho Gorge, the bus stop is a couple of minutes from the hotel.
This was my first experience of staying in a traditional hotel in Japan, and I really liked everything. Delicious dinner and breakfast - I tried a traditional kaiseki dinner, and it was an amazing experience. Attentive, caring hotel staff, perfect cleanliness everywhere, amazing mountain air. Natural wood in the room decoration creates a feeling of warmth and comfort. In the bathroom, you can try Japanese cosmetics. In the evening, you can drink tea, sitting in a comfortable chair with a book. At first, the silence around is unusual, but for us, city dwellers, it is necessary. Since it is dark around, you can see the starry sky - you will not see this in the city. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the traditional Yokagura show in the evening. For someone interested in mythology, this was very interesting.
I did not get the hang of the hot tub right away and I still feel awkward about it, and I forgot to mention that I am allergic to onions, but it is my fault for forgetting to mention it.
I would highly recommend the Ryokan Iwatoya, it was an amazing experience.
TTatianaK.From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!!
We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!
TTravelLoverOfMiyazakiThis Hotel is famous for the tourist but the building is a bit old. Their toilet has old bidet, it’s hard to operate. They have old fashioned key, don’t be confused. But when it comes to service ill give them 5⭐️they are very helpful and polite staff.
ヤヤンイーランIt's about 10 minutes away from the city. The location is not great, but the hospitality is excellent and the hotel thinks about the details of its guests. The lounge area from the large public bath and the free drinks there are great, so you can relax and take your time. I think it's worth staying an night just for this hotel. I wish they could extend the bath time a little more in the morning.
HHuabajiangSpent two pleasant and unforgettable nights in your hotel. Saw the beautiful sunset on Qingdao Beach after the heavy rain. Visited the Qingdao Shrine and the mysterious bathing board of the gods. At night, I returned to the hotel and enjoyed the authentic Qingdao hot spring open-air bath in the clean and tidy bathing area. After the hot spring, I had a matcha ice cream. Listened to the sound of rain at night and read comics in the quiet comic bar. It was so comfortable~ I saw the row of original Doraemon, Tsubasa Ozora, Gintama, NANA~ The 80s generation was full of excitement and felt like they were back to their youth! The breakfast environment is beautiful and the food is rich and delicious. In short, I am very satisfied with everything here. I have a very perfect Japanese travel experience. And what I want to say more is: Compared with the beautiful scenery of Miyazaki Aoshima, the lovely Miyazaki people are more worthy of praise. Traveling around Kyushu, the Miyazaki people are the most enthusiastic and hospitable I have seen along the way. I love the scenery and lovely people here~ On the day we first arrived at the hotel, we took the wrong route from the steps and went to the back door. We happened to meet a young lady who had just got off work at the hotel. After she learned that we had taken the wrong route, she immediately led us the way and took my suitcase on her own initiative. There was a section of uphill gravel road, and she even picked up the box very considerately. She carried it all the way to the hotel lobby. As soon as we entered the lobby, she left and there was a thunderstorm outside. The young lady must have been caught in the rain because of helping us. I am really grateful and embarrassed. After that, the staff in every link of the hotel were very warm and kind. The whole experience was super good! We will leave Miyazaki this afternoon and take a cruise to Kobe. We are very happy to choose Miyazaki as the last stop of our Kyushu tour. Thank you for your hotel for giving our Kyushu tour a perfect happy ending.

👩🏻💼 The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more comfortable.
何何The whole house is huge, and it can actually accommodate four people. Two rooms have tatami mats. If two people live, the next room will be a tatami living room. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own food, there is a large supermarket nearby, and the washing machine has a drying function, but it takes three hours to wash it at a time. Because the house is too big, and then I was scared by the old man and said that you dare to live in the old house. Suddenly I became scared, and I couldn't sleep peacefully all night. It is better to remove the scary painting in the bedroom. After all, behind is the ancient city of Tifei, and there are still many celebrities living in the old residences, which is still a bit scary to think about. But apart from these, the house is still very good. The kitchen and living room are too life-like. There are a lot of personal items such as stereos and so on. It feels like sharing with the owner. Personal opinions, please forgive me if I don’t say anything wrong.
GGuest UserAbsolutely loved my stay!
I stayed at Hotel Auto Campsite Takachiho and got to try two different rooms – both were amazing! Super clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. You can tell they really care about keeping everything perfect.
The place is surrounded by nature, quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to Takachiho Gorge. It’s the perfect spot to rest and recharge after a long day of exploring or camping around Kyushu.
The staff were kind and welcoming, and the whole place has such a relaxing, friendly vibe. I’d definitely come back here next time I’m in Takachiho – one of the best stays of my trip!
GGuest UserThe location is absolutely fantastic: Takachiho Shrine is just a 5-minute walk away, and the 'Shinden' shuttle bus stop for Takachiho Gorge is right outside the hotel's entrance. For guests attending the Yo-Kagura (night performance), they provide zabuton (Japanese cushions) for borrowing. The standard rooms feature bathrooms with a separate washing area. Although the washing area is spacious, you can borrow a 'te-oke' (small bucket), which I found made washing much more convenient.
