Not too far from Jonker Street, easily walkable. The hygiene was pretty good, and the bedding was comfortable enough. There's a durian shop very close to the hotel, which was really convenient. The downside was that rooms facing the street could hear motorcycles revving at night, which disturbed my sleep.

I had a minor accident in front of the hotel lobby—I hit the cement curb/bollard in front of the hotel, resulting in a slight scratch/damage to a floor tile (and this particular tile already had several previous damages from other people hitting it before).
Subsequently, an Indian staff member (identified as a supervisor by his colleague) came and took pictures of the damaged tile. The issues I have with his conduct are as follows:
He started chatting with a Chinese customer while pointing out the minor damage and simultaneously pointing towards my car, smiling and chuckling slightly as if mocking or being sarcastic.
Then, another Chinese man (possibly a customer or staff) approached, and he again showed the damaged tile, smiling and chuckling lightly while pointing at my car. My issue here is: there were also Malay customers present; why did he choose the Chinese customers to point out this issue to, but not the Malay customers?
He then approached me and said: ”You have hit and damaged this tile, and you need to know that I will report this to the hotel owner, and you should know that the owner of this hotel is a Chinese person, and I am certain you will have to pay for the damages.” What is the implication of saying, 'the owner of this hotel is a Chinese person'?
I asked why he needed to make a scene and involve other customers to talk about the incident while laughing lightly and smiling as if being condescending, and why this incident was being exaggerated when he himself was aware and had mentioned that customers frequently hit that cement curb.
Is it now my turn to be made to pay for the damage, after it has been hit multiple times by other customers previously?
Am I being made a scapegoat to settle the costs of previous incidents?
Where is the commitment to excellent Customer Service in terms of maintaining a customer's 'dignity' or 'reputation' (air muka) in front of other patrons?
He made a fuss as if I had brought down the whole building.
I am attaching photos of the tile damage and other pre-existing damages.

Location nice nearby restaurant and bar 🍸, Cleanliness good enough and Price affordable, enjoyed our stay, but the soundproofing wasn't great. We could hear a lot of outside noise.

Booked this hotel for family stay when first time visiting Melaka, not very far from Jonker Street if driving, so far so good. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

Good hotel with decent cleanliness & breakfast included in the room package. Would recommend should you need a short stay.
Room & toilet : spacious with a king bed & 4 pillow provided. Iron & iron board provided in a room with spacious space for big luggage / working space. Toilet have no shower screen, old painting started to peel off. Towel provided. No designated parking for hotel but Majlis parking available in front of the hotel (payable via apps on day time).
Breakfast : great selection of breakfast - Nasi Lemak, Kurt Teow Goreng, Wedges, Fried sausages, coffee tea, cereal, bread, salad station, fruits, soup/mee station. Only downside no egg station
Other downside is you have to pay for RM10 should you need extra pillow
Location wise is great - 5 minutes walk to local tourist attractions like A Famosa etc. lots of Adam Pedas shop selection within the hotel location as well. 10-15 mins walk to Mahkota Parade, local mall.

Bed and pillow is alright, but came with one layer of pillowcase and moldy smell at first night.
The floor mat stained (see photo).
Toilet comes with liquid soap that is for both body and hair, and towel. The hotel does not provide tooth brush, shower cap, face towel. The water pressure was great at first night, that could be due to low occupancy rate. But the water pressure became inconsistent from second night onwards (ie Saturday and Sunday), that might be due to more visitors
The room is spacious, but empty as it is equipped with damaged table (see photo), filthy chair. No mirror in the room, except toilet. No sound proof, could hear kids running and shouting. Our room is facing main road that is blocked by a row of shop houses but could stil hear vehicles noise from outside.
Hair dryer has to get from counter, but low speed.
Hotel offers breakfast, that provides basic:
- Coffee, tea (bland), creamer lousy
- bread with kaya and butter
- noodles with choice of clear broth soup and assam soup, bland
- salad with dressing that is thick, lousy. Capsicum not fresh
- fried keow teow, porridge
- nasi lemak, tasteless
- hard boiled egg, that is only available if there is nasi lemak (ps first day did not have nasi lemak, hence no egg at all)
Some Plates, bowls, cups with dented, ants observed
Overall, the hotel is in run down condition and perhap could be considered if you just want to have a place to rest and not a light sleeper.

The front desk service was excellent; they even reminded us about the police issuing parking tickets and to remember to pay for parking. The room was cleaner than expected, and all the restaurants were conveniently within walking distance. Plus, we got a massage discount for staying there! 🤩🤩
I'd definitely stay here again!!

S&tayed at De Ocean Hotel Melaka and had a pleasant experience overall. The accommodation was well-maintained, offering a simple, clean, and cozy atmosphere. The room was tidy and comfortable, and the towels provided were clean. However, the bedsheets were a bit old and could use an update.
Parking is available, which is convenient for guests traveling by car. It would be even better if the hotel could provide a water dispenser for added convenience.
Overall, it's a decent and comfortable stay for short trips in Melaka.

Very Good
Our stay at Puteri Bay Melaka was great 👍🏼 The location was great because we are able to have a good view of the beach, and it was near food places. The hotel reception and staff were also kind and helpful. Food selection for breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable and had a good sleep 👍🏼👍🏼 The downside was that the toilet was not totally clean as there were strands of hairs sticking out from under the bed. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided in the room, and the prayer mat had an odour. Generally, the stay was good although maybe staff need to ensure the room cleanliness and smell abit more? I would still recommend the hotel for the comfortable beds and nice view and location beside the waterfront 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The room was clean and came with standard amenities. The best part of booking here was the parking they provided. The service was good, and the check-in process was simple and straightforward. No cash deposit was required. Even when I checked out three hours earlier than noon the next day, they still allowed me to park my car there until 12:30 PM until we were ready to go back to KL. I really appreciate that, as usually there are charges. My overall experience at this 3-star hotel was good.
Super nice and marble-ish modern and new hotel in melacca. Totally recommended. No hidden cost and all. Straight up, super friendly and parking is easy. RM10 for VVIP parking and free parking for normal parking. Room is great and very nice. Aircon is superb! Breakfast buffet need improvement bt cmon with price ure paying is definitely worth it! I rate 5 stars! behind hotel got dobi for laundry. location is strategic. #melacca #marblehotel
Good location... Easy to find food and facilities.. Strategic location and away from town. So far the receptionist friendly and easy to cooperate. Will come again.. And book again..
Very good, great, so comfortable and so clean unit homestay. This unit has part of the cityview and part of the seaview so you will have both views and it was nice. The unit provides bath towels, nice body & hair shampoo and the best part is the unit provides 2 pillows for each person 👍. Me and my family were very happy and enjoyed staying here in this unit. Will definitely come back here again. Highly recommended 👍. Thanks a lot for the host and team i housing, you are the best.
My stay at The Nest House in Melaka and below is the review:- A stylish boutique homestay with character, good decor, natural light, comfortable bed. Helpful staff who are friendly and willing to assist. Quiet nights despite being fairly central; good place if you want peace but still be near what Melaka offers. Free parking is a plus. Free snacks/drinks/refreshments in the common area are often mentioned. Toothpaste is not provide, please bring your own. If your room is upstairs, there will be stairs and no lift.
