The hotel was located right in the center of Bergen. Although there was reception staff we had to pick up the hotel key in a box another time (went well but was a bit strange I think). In the hallway itself there was a slightly strange smell. But the room itself was perfectly fine. There is a lot to do in the center of Bergen if you want it. Lots of dining areas / bars etc. We did not get breakfast there due to. we woke up today (May 17), which in Norway is considered a Sunday. Then they did not have breakfast there. So we had to take another place. What was minus it was that they did NOT have luggage storage there. So there the hotel has something they need to fix right away.

Was greeted by a very nice receptionist when I checked in. He saw that I was a member of their chain and offered me the benefits it provides. Then gave the information I needed and explained the way to the elevator. All with kindness and a big smile. It gave a very good start to a good stay. Asked at check in for room with view and high up. I got it in room 616 which had a balcony. I think most rooms do not have a balcony or that view. So a tip is to ask and if they are available, you will get enough. The room was clean. And that's the most important thing for me. Not very big and the bathroom was even smaller. But it is more than enough for two people visiting this city. Even though the room is clean, it appears to be somewhat worn over time. You can see it on the scraped panel stove, scraper and other things on the walls, the bedding has some smaller holes and is worn (but comfortable to sleep in). When there are better times for the hotel industry, it would not cost much to raise the standard a little. Breakfast has everything you need, but does not appear very exciting. You can see there are some measures taken that raise it from basic, and there is a lot of staff at work. But it's a long way up to the city's best breakfast and there is constantly empty for some products during the breakfast. Then it is important to know that the Comfort hotels at Nordic Choice Hotels are the most affordable. I have often stayed in Quality hotels in the past and the standard is one notch or two up. So for what you pay here for the rooms with breakfast it is very good value! And the very best value here is those who work here. Whether it is night guards, cleaners or others. There are always positive answers if you want something. And accompanying smile. Otherwise there is a bar here if you wish. And from Bybanen it may be around 10-15 minutes to walk. So it is centrally located in Bergen. Can definitely recommend this hotel for the price against the standard one gets.

The location is great, right in the centre of Reykjavík, 5 minutes walk to reach the main attractions. The room was clean and tidy and there was a complimentary breakfast offered which was great.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Self check-in/out. Min human interaction. Location is not bad. Near the Skyss stop. There's a supermarket across the building. A bit further there's a Rema 1000. The room is small. Two sides of the bed are agaisnt the wall. There are about 80cm space between the bed and each sides of the walls. There is a long table along the wall on one side and a puff. This really crowds the room. Don't bring big luggage here, there is not enough space. No TV. The window cannot be opened. The bathroom is a nice surprise. It is spacious, as big as the bedroom area, with heated floor. The common room is quite spacious, right next to the restaurant. The restaurant downstairs is quite busy. Breakfast is available for extra fee. You can find microwave, fridge, kettle, and paper utensils in the common room. Coffee vending machine is also here. Overall this is a good budget hotel, good value hotel.

The room is large. One room and one living room, cooking and sofa in the hall, sleeping in the room. There is a refrigerator oven pot kitchenware. Breakfast can be ordered, but expensive, it is better to go to 7-11 to buy croissants, weekend specials 10 kronor, usually 15 krona. The apartment is very good, coming from the airport, taking the light rail to the byparken station as long as 39 or 33, much cheaper than the airport bus, to byparken a few hundred meters. Going to other attractions in Bergen, you can walk very close to the fish market, Bryggen, and Florentine. The Bergen train station, which is a miniature of Norway, feels like walking for ten minutes. There is a supermarket nearby, you can go to rema from Monday to Saturday, and there is a supermarket on the weekend. You can ask the front desk. You can cook your own food at the supermarket.

Great hotel with a 100+ years history in Odda. The perfect place to stay if you want to spend some time locally in Odda or want a base camp for exploring all the attractions in the area like Trolltunga, Buerbreen, Cider farms, Folgefonna, Fjord Cruises, one of the many festivals and much more. The host is from the original family of owners, is very friendly, and has slowly but surely restored the hotel inside since he bought it back 27 years ago. He has invested and restored the rooms, built an extra floor on top with large Superior Rooms with a great view from the balconies. He is also an avid art collector and throughout the hotel, you will find a lot of great art on display. The hotel operates as a bed and breakfast, with a popular bar in addition to the core services. From time to time, they also offer cultural events. Across the street, you will find the best gourmet dining in Odda at Agas Bistro.

It's about an 18-minute walk from Bergen Central Station and not hard to find. The ground floor is the front desk and restaurant, as well as a small number of guest rooms. The triple room I booked was quite large, with many wall plugs, and the mattress and quilt were very comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style, rich in variety and delicious. The guy at the front desk was very polite and had a friendly smile. On the surface, although the price seems a little high, it is still a good choice.

It was awful and not worth the money. Not worth a 4 star rating! We call this in Dutch: gone glory. It probably had its days, but has been neglected and needs a very high investment to get it back on track. Let me share our experience with you: The arrival (hospitality): When arriving we entered the hotel. It all looked nice in the lobby. There were no people at the reception except for two staff members. These teo guys were behind a single computer together. We were waiting at the desk, with two heavy bags on our back. After 10 minutes waiting (and another person entering the queue) I decided to take my heavy backpack off. Then he asked me if he could help me. It was quite rude. But that’s not it…… We got our cards and went to the room. The stairwell looks like that of a hostel. You know, the one you pay 25 Euros or dollars per night for, where you went to when you were 17-18 years old. The windows were utterly filthy (like in your dorm). And when I entered the room, the electricity circuit was the same as it probably was in 1961. I would declare it to be unsafe if I were a fireman. I know a hairdryer qualifies for points to get stars, but….. does it have to be hanging in the area of the wardrobe? In this case yes! Because there is no electricity available in the bathroom (or anywhere close to a mirror). So we charged our iPhones, but needed to take the lamps out first. No other piints of electricity. The bathroom; It has white tiles, a shower curtain, a shower head dating from the nineties. My student dorm was way more luxurious. There were black hairs on the floor (since I have long blond hair, they couldn’t have been instantly mine). The ceiling is made of glassfiber wall wallpaper, which probably was necessary to hide the fungus, due to bad ventilation. And be able to paint over and over again. Then there's the balcony. The doors probably have been painted in the early 2000’s for the last time. And when looking at the view, it’s like going back to east Germany before the wall fell. But then with a nice lake and beautifull mountains to fill the view. I booked this hotel on our way back to get some rest, and make sure we would travel back home fit and well rested. Well……… The neighbours on the right were trying to maximize the beats per minute they could generate together by bouncing the bed very agressively to the wall for some reason, and enjoyed making funny noises, one usually hears when wat hung nature movies. The neighbours on the left found it the right time to start a heavy debate, don’t know what about, but it lasted for hours. The neighbours above really liked doing some chair moving aerobics. They probably needed to achieve their Fitbit goal on steps needed, to met their target. Well, at around mid ight, the hotel went quiet. Check out: When we checked out, I gave my cards to the receptionist. She said: thank you and have a nice day. I asked my son:”what didn’t she ask, what is usually being asked when you check ou

We were really looking forward to staying at this hotel having read the reviews but we were disappointed. The room itself was lovely and - we stayed in Estelle and it which has a huge comfy bed. However there were small pieces of glass on the carpet which we only realised after stepping on some so the room clearly hadn't been thoroughly hoovered. On reporting this to reception it was not taken seriously or an apology made. We found the smell of perfume throughout the hotel very sickly and overwhelming. We ate in the restaurant which was very expensive. I had lamb which was very undercooked, my partner had fish which was well cooked but bland. There were no vegetables on the menu (salad was the only side along with various potato options) so the waiter said we could have a portion of broccoli. This was totally burnt and inedible. The creme brûlée was good. We found a lot better, nicer, cheaper restaurants in Bergen but would have eaten more in the hotel if the food had been better. Last breakfast booking time is 9.30am and they are very strict on this as the kitchen closes at 10am. We went down at 9.20am but the service was very slow considering many of the options are cold so easily prepared in advance. On the last day there were a lot of people, not staying in the hotel, having breakfast and the wait for a cold croissant sandwich was 50mins which is unacceptable. It seemed to us that hotel guests were not given any priority over the walk ins even though we had booked a time and were needing to check out. Most of the staff were very friendly but we did not find them helpful if there was a problem eg I think broken glass should be dealt with, burnt broccoli should be credited. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.
