Love the smart hotel, easy check in. Perfect location with bus, ferry terminal, groceries, shopping mall all within 5 minute walk. The room is also spacious. Definitely value for money. I will recommend all to stay when you are in Harstad.
Except for not closing the house every day, there are almost no shortcomings. You can see Aurora without going out. They cook instant noodles in their parking lot. I am very happy.
We had a wonderful stay here! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. The location was also convenient, making it easy to explore the area.
I recently stayed at Smarthotel Tromsø and enjoyed my time there. The breakfast was really good, with plenty of variety to start the day. My room was neat and comfortable, albeit a bit smaller than I would have preferred, but it served its purpose. One thing to keep in mind during the winter is that Tromsø is very dark for much of the day, so you might sleep in later than planned. Overall, I recommend Smarthotel Tromsø for a convenient and satisfying stay.
Location is quite convenient, at the corner of the central street and has good view of Tromso from the rooftop (not so much my room).
Room appears spacious, there is additional chair and bench. However, I find it hard to use the space. There is no space to open my luggage fully unless it is on the bench. There are only 3 rather shallow hooks in the room. I ended up hanging both my jackets (which overlaps since the hooks are close to each other) and my towel but there is no more space to hang anything else! And no proper wardrobe as the “wardrobe” has dividers so it looks more like a shoe cabinet. I’m a solo traveller booking a double room, I cannot imagine if there was one more person in this space.
On the second day of our stay, the hotel was closed for the Easter holiday. In the morning, we found that there was no one else in the hotel except our group of 8 people, including the staff.
The hotel prepared raw and cooked ingredients for us in the kitchen, and then we cooked by ourselves.
Although it was a holiday, I had already booked and there was no report of cancellation, so I still have to give a thumbs up to the hotel.
Because of the same situation, Svolvær in the Lofoten Islands directly emailed me to inform me that the order was cancelled without any compensation.
Basic hotel but you have the essentials. It is clean very close to the main street where all the shops are located. The breakfast buffet is very simple but you have a little bit of everything. You always have tea or coffee available in the hall if you feel like it. They also have a parking service in the back, it is fair but it gives you the service, I used it and although it was an ice rink at least you know that your car is ok since parking on the street is mission impossible and everything is pay.
There should have been a hot water bottle, but the room was not provided. The counter staff would get off work at 4 pm and could not find the staff service. The room was simple and the floor was water. The only thing worthy of praise was that the breakfast was very rich.
Quiet and there isn’t a lot of light pollution area the hotel area which is good for seeing the northern lights during the winter period!

MMintThe facade definitely stands out and the place was cosy. However, the photos were not representative of the actual place not exactly in a good way. We stayed in the designer cabin (which costs more) but were surprised by how small it was. I would not recommend paying more for the cabin during summer as there is not much to see and less convenient considering we needed to walk a distance to access the amenities including the toilets and kitchen which we did not know when we booked.

SSAM30Didn’t take any pictures of our actual room, but it was as shown in pictures!
It was easy to spot the hotel. Also conveniently near supermarket, convenience store and petrol stations.
Our room faced the beautiful mountain so it was really nice to wake up to it.
Hotel buffet spread was just right and the whole place felt very homely. Staff were friendly as well!
Would definitely stay here again.
YYu CYYHygienic level is normal
The hotel location is pretty good
There will be a bus to the airport within a 4-minute walk
It takes 6 minutes to walk to the world's northernmost McDonald's.
(28/10/2024)
Service is also very good
Front desk staff smiling
Free Waffle making materials were provided on the day we stayed.
It's a pity that we were almost out of batter when we got back.
The facilities are also normal
The only thing that can be improved is the smell of the hotel room
There will be a (moist?) smell
Ttsun hitsujiGreat hotel for it's price. Especially when tromso is such an expensive city. Like seriously expensive. The check in process was seamless and quite convenient. A passcode is sent to me prior to arriving and I just needed to key that in. Only problem was that the hotel was located on the top of a hill. So it was painful trying to get to it from city center.
GGuest UserA great place to just stay and view northern lights just outside just at the farm. 10-12 rooms so very nice experience. Have restaurant that you can hide from the cold easily and you can step out to view the northern lights when they are out.
