I chose this hotel based on reviews, even though some were negative, but the hotel didn't disappoint our family!
The hotel's location is excellent for sightseeing!
There are parks, squares, plenty of shops if you need to pick up a few things, and many cafes and restaurants to suit every taste and budget nearby!
The breakfasts are excellent, with vegetables, porridges, and desserts!
Everything is clean and tidy. The administrator, a pleasant young woman, greeted us and sent us off with a smile.
The hotel is next to historical landmark Shah-i-Zinda necropolis. Registan Square is a 20-minute walk or 10-minute drive away.
Taxi drivers need to be given the exact location of the hotel, which is on an uphill road, otherwise they may be dropped off in front of Shah-i-Zinda Cemetery.
Hotel room is well equipped and wifi is stable.
Staffs are really helpful.
Fruits provided for breakfast are juicy.
This hotel is a gem! The location is perfect for sightseeing, as most major landmarks are within an easy walking distance. The atmosphere is lovely, especially in the warmer seasons. The breakfast was satisfying, and we felt truly looked after by the attentive team. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Samarkand and suggest others do the same!

Found this place online and it was definitely a great choice! All the staff are incredibly friendly. It's quiet, clean, and has a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast is also quite good. If I ever come back, I'll choose this hotel again. Highly recommend it!!!!
A clean, beautiful hotel. The location is fine, quiet despite being next to a small mosque. I had a room on the -1st floor, facing the courtyard. The WiFi worked well, the TV had Russian channels, and the room had bottled water, a kettle, and green tea. There's also air conditioning.
The Registan, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, and Siab Bazaar are a leisurely 10-minute walk away.
The staff was friendly and helped me order a taxi.
Breakfast was served on the upstairs terrace. The view must have been beautiful, but I had an early morning train and asked for a lunchbox. They packed a fairly filling breakfast with a sandwich, yogurt, fruit, and water.
Exquisite hotel, comfortable rooms, warm service, and zero distance from the high-speed rail station, only five minutes walk to the tram station. Swimming pool, breakfast room, are very good, don't miss it
Atmospheric guest house. The hosts are very kind and hospitality. I did not agree on the time of arrival, despite this inconvenience, we were settled earlier than the time.
Good location of the guest house is the sights in step-to-step availability. Silent in the room, warm and good hot water pressure.
Breakfasts are very delicious, diverse, saturated and close to our kitchen.
In the warm season it should be very spiritually, sure of it (the inner green yard, where a gentle cat walks).
The hotel's location is super convenient! It's about a 10-minute walk to the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, and a quick taxi ride to Registan Square. Plus, there's a supermarket nearby, which is great for picking up essentials. A special shout-out to Zafar – his excellent service and warm hospitality made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, fantastic value for money!
We stayed at the beginning of January and really liked the hotel. Our room had heated floors in the bathroom, and the heating worked so well that we even slept with the window open at night because it was too warm. There were no strange odors in the room. The breakfasts were excellent, with something for everyone, and there's a terrace which I assume is also open for breakfast in warmer weather. I especially want to commend the hotel staff – they were very friendly and always ready to help.

I had an amazing stay here. The place is beautiful and ideal for solo travelers. The breakfast and tea were excellent. I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back again.
Less than thirty minutes walk to the typical tourist spots, and close to a major bus hub. It's close to some decent schwarma places and supermarkets, so this is a convenient spot if you don't mind some exercise on your way to see the spectacles. The room is nice, comfortable bed and great shower. No kettle or fridge unfortunately. WiFi is good. All in all, can't complain - I had a nice stay here.
Colibari Hotel Samarkand – A Cozy Retreat 🌟 Nestled in the historic heart of Samarkand, Colibari Hotel blends modern comfort with classic Uzbek charm. The rooms are clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, offering a restful escape after exploring the city. The friendly staff provides personalized service, making every guest feel welcome. Enjoy a delightful breakfast on the terrace with stunning city views. Conveniently located near major attractions, this hotel is ideal for a relaxing and authentic Samarkand experience.
I'm a Japanese man. I was sexually harassed by the owner. After showing me to my room, he touched my upper arms and chest. I thought he was just touching me to say, ”You have a nice body,” so I ignored it at the time. On the day I was due to check out, he used the translator to say, ”I don't want you to leave. I love you.” I thought it was one of those common overseas ”Are you going away? I'll miss you” types, so I just said thank you. After that, I started getting changed, thinking I'd take a shower before leaving, but he peeked at me from outside the window. I quickly closed the curtains and took a shower, and then he came into my room, used the translator to say, ”I just wanted to see your breasts, and please forgive me.” I thought he was serious, but I forgave him because I was scared something might happen. The location was great, within walking distance of Registan Square, and the room was nice, so the owner's behavior was disappointing.
I didn't take pic of the room as it is basic but spacious enough. The hotel is strategically located in between various sightseeing sites. For travellers who opt for tram and bus, you choose the right location because opposite the hotel just accross the road, there is a tramvay stop and bus stop. Tramvay goes to and for the main train station if you are departing for Tashkent or Bukhara. While bus goes around the city. Take bus 22 to go around the city area such as Registan centre. Take bus 31 to and for airport. Really convenient, affordable, and I highly recommend it.
This is a really great place to stay in Samarkand. Huge beds and huge rooms. The rooms have huge wardrobes, a fridge, kettle, safe, and a coffee maker. The bed is the biggest I've seen, but it's a little hard. It's close to Registan Square and a huge number of nice restaurants, even has its own restaurant attached that serves some great steak. The breakfast is really nice - you'll have a personal table with samsa and lots of snacks, and be able to order a specific breakfast on top.
