For the price the place is okay decent enough however the staff is really loud at night . Not the reception but the team doing maintenance at night they really inconsiderate . I wouldn’t book the Melrose ever again because of that . I’ve tried the one in Sandton Katherine street I really enjoyed it .
Pros: First of all the service I got from the receptionist was really good, she had someone carry my bags to the room and the location of the hotel is close to the airport which is very convenient for traveling after your stay.
Cons: The room had a strong smell of paint, it was so bad I couldn't even breathe as all the windows were closed upon my arrival.
The pillow cases in the bedroom didn't look clean to me I used my clothes to lay my face on because it was just nasty.
The shower is not convenient to use, it's too small and you cannot move the shower head to a desired position.
There was no fan or airconditioner in the bedroom, it was really hot.
The furniture is outdated, some couches with holes in them it's a mess
Overall, I will not sleep here ever again! The money charged is clearly just for being close to the airport because it is too much for that room.
My experience in the hotel was pleasant. It is situated in a very high risk area however, if you have business to do along the embassies or department offices nearby then this is a great place. Pleasant staff and the buffet was also good.
It was our first time in joburg and it was lovely. The hotel was always clean. The food was great. Aside the breakfast which had a lot of variety, we also got to try some local dishes recommended by staff at the restaurant. The room was small but it was sufficient, as we were mostly busy sightseeing.
The hotel is ok, nothing special especially for the cost. When I got there, they gave me a room that was still being cleaned so I stood by the doorway waiting for the lady to finish. I was very jet lagged at this point and just wanted to sleep. She tried her best to be quick and was very welcoming. I then asked them to bring a menu because I couldn’t scan the code in the hotel room. This took more than 20 minutes. The food arrived and the meat tasted a bit off and undercooked. The breakfast was amazing. I’m not sure if they provide things such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers and gowns by request because they were not in the room and I was too tired to ask for them. If they don’t provide these, perhaps they can try to in future. Overall, not the worst hotel but a bit overpriced considering what’s on offer.
I enjoyed the whole experience, the hotel is located in a quiet and safe area so i felt safe the whole time. loved the facilities as for the food was always eating out at nearby restaurants. I will definitely visit again because I enjoyed and had a wonderful time at the hotel.

City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo is an excellent choice for anyone catching a flight or needing a comfortable stopover in Johannesburg. The location is unbeatable—right inside the airport, so no stress about transfers or traffic. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-soundproofed, making it easy to rest even though it’s in a busy area.
The staff are friendly and professional, always willing to assist with anything you need. I also enjoyed the restaurant’s breakfast buffet and the relaxing pool area. Everything about this hotel is convenient, safe, and efficient.
Highly recommend City Lodge OR Tambo for travelers looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great service right at the airport.
It is a lovely place to stay. The breakfast was outstanding!!!
Could do with non slip bath mats when getting out the shower. Rooms can do with more heating as it was very cold.
The bed was okay could do with a more sturdy mattress.
Overall experience was great and the reception ladies was amazing and friendly.

AAnonymous UserThe place is located very close to the airport. The owners seem like nice people. The shuttle bus is always on time and the coffee there was the best I've had in a while. I'd definitely stay there again.
GGuest UserThe room is average, the hygiene is so-so, the service staff is a bit noisy, and it is not very friendly to check in at 3 pm, but the hotel is in the park, relatively safe, there are many restaurants near the casino, and life is convenient, I still recommend it in this regard

WWENHONGThe first stay was ok, but it was a family house renovation, cockroaches because I booked it close to me. The room was on the second floor pushing open the door to the balcony, where there were tables and chairs but thick dust. The second stay was very angry 😡, because there was something wrong on the first day of two days, the next day they found that they sold the good room I ordered at a higher price to later people without my consent. I could go to the room where I was almost in, and the hot water in the room was put for 20 minutes before it came out. Will not stay at the inn again. Thanks to Trip.com customer service for its excellent service!

GGuest UserStaying at Foreva Wild is a wonderful experience, the staff are super-friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is comfy. Location is great since it's inside the nature reserve , and as I was driving around I spotted plenty of wild animals! There are also guided safari drives nearby which were easy for me to book. The lodge is secure and clean. Breakfast is delicious. Wi-fi is okay , some spots are understandably slow with connection. Recommend using mobile data or bring your own mini-router/dongle. Overall, good value for money and you can be sure to be well taken care of at Foreva Wild !
