No trains will run to or from the high-level platforms. Trains that run through the low-level platforms are able to operate but will not stop at Glasgow Central. You should use Argyle Street station, which is a short distance away, to access these services. We have no estimated time for when the station will reopen. We expect disruptions on routes to, from, and through Glasgow Central to continue until at least the end of the day. Avanti West Coast customer advice: No trains will operate to or from Glasgow Central today. A modified train schedule will run to Motherwell, Carlisle, and Preston, allowing customers to connect with trains to Edinburgh and local services in the Glasgow area. Customers are strongly advised to check their schedules before traveling. You can use your ticket on the following train companies at no extra charge: CrossCountry between Edinburgh and Birmingham LNER services between Edinburgh and London Kings Cross ScotRail between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh, and also between Argyle Street and Motherwell TransPennine Express services from Edinburgh to Preston Avanti West Coast tickets dated for travel on the Anglo-Scot route between Sunday, March 8 and Thursday, March 12 can be used on any Avanti West Coast service until the end of Thursday, March 12. If your train is canceled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after. If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or canceled, you can request a full refund from the point of purchase. Caledonian Sleeper customer advice: Traveling from Glasgow to London: The Glasgow - London service will start in Edinburgh. Boarding in Edinburgh will begin at 10:30 PM, and you will travel in your booked accommodations as planned. The train will depart Edinburgh at 11:40 PM. To help you get to Edinburgh, your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on the following ScotRail services: 9:15 PM Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh (arrives 10:06 PM) 9:45 PM Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh (arrives 10:34 PM) 10:15 PM Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh (arrives 11:06 PM) Traveling from London to Glasgow: The London - Glasgow service will end at Edinburgh. Boarding and departure times are unaffected, and you may remain on board in Edinburgh until 8:00 AM. To help you reach Glasgow, your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on the following ScotRail services: 7:30 AM Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street (arrives 8:22 AM)... (and subsequent trains every 15 minutes until 8:30 AM). CrossCountry customer advice: Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services: The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your canceled service ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street ScotRail services between Argyle Street and Motherwell Seat reservations will not transfer to another train, but Cars B, H, and L are unreserved on CrossCountry services (where available), so please head to those. ScotRail customer advice: Several services are suspended in both directions, including routes from Edinburgh to Glasgow via Shotts/Carstairs, and Glasgow Central routes to Newton, Barrhead, East Kilbride, etc. Other services to Gourock, Wemyss Bay, Largs, Lanark, Kilmarnock, and Ayr are operating on reduced schedules or starting/ending at alternate stations (like Paisley Gilmour Street, Motherwell, or Kilmarnock). Glasgow Central low-level services will bypass Glasgow Central. Please use Argyle Street station instead. Ticket acceptance: Tickets are valid at no extra cost on alternative ScotRail routes, various local transit buses (First Glasgow, Lothian, Stagecoach, McGills), and the SPT Underground inner and outer circles. TransPennine Express customer advice: Services between Glasgow Central and Liverpool Lime Street / Manchester Airport are canceled. Do not travel on these routes. Due to crew displacement, Edinburgh to Newcastle / Manchester routes will experience delays and cancellations. Tickets are valid on alternate partner lines.
