The dreamy town of the fairy tale world in Italy
One of the most beautiful towns in the world, Alberobello is also known as 'Heaven Town'
📍Attraction Coordinates
Alberobello is a small town in the province of Bari, Apulia, Italy, with a population of about ten thousand people, and its Trulli architecture is world-famous.
Travel Tips
Walking into the town, you'll find blue skies, white walls, grey tiles, and round-domed houses, scenes that only appear in fairy tales but actually exist in reality;
In Alberobello, there are thousands of Trulli houses preserved, round-shaped dwellings without columns or beams, with white-painted exterior walls and roofs made of slab-shaped rocks, giving a very textured feel.
Strolling on the 'Heavenly Path', with the blue sky and white clouds of the Mediterranean above, and the quaint stone-paved paths underfoot, surrounded by blooming flowers, it's like walking in a magical village.
Must-Visit Treasure Spots
The Basilica Minore dei Santi Medici - Located slightly north of the town center, it was founded in 1609 and later expanded in the Renaissance style. Although called a 'small church', it is actually quite large.
The Church of Sant'Antonio - Located in the southwest of the Monti district, built in 1926-1927, this Trulli-style building has a dome 21 meters high, topped with a Greek cross.
The Monti District (Rione Monti) - Located on the south side of Alberobello, to the southwest of the parking lot and the main road Via Indipendenza.
The Sovereign Trullo (Trullo Sovrano) - Located next to a three-way intersection north of the Basilica Minore dei Santi Medici, built in the 18th century, it is one of the few two-story Trulli buildings, constructed by a wealthy priest's family.
Piazza del Popolo - Piazza del Popolo is the central square of Alberobello, where many small roads converge, offering access in all directions, and a place to sit and experience the local culture.
When the weather is good, it is beautiful here, so my reminder is to make sure the sky is clear before departure, take pictures to look good, otherwise gray, although it is also very good, but the photos taken do not have the feeling of fairy tales. The photos below are taken on a cloudy day, so looking at the sky is not very blue, this place is definitely worth a visit, especially in the summer is very beautiful, there are many special shops, restaurants, cafes and handmade leather products.
The house with the highest photo-taking of Alberto Bello will have the five brothers on all the posters, and the cartoon design on the roof is said to have the meaning of religious prayer.
The town of Tehuri features a granary and straw hat roof, a UN cultural heritage area. Not as commercial as Venice and Florence, which returns to a medieval feel.
Nice and unique. Many touristic shops
Good environment, relax on vacation............
A quieter area, on the east side of Alberto Bello, taking pictures is very good. Many homestays are here. Any photo can make a blockbuster. It's not as noisy as the business district. In fact, the whole Alberto Bello is not big. Living in this area, all attractions are within walking distance.
This magical town is located between the picturesque olive trees and the vineyards of Puglia in the region.
