Palais de l'Ile

The island palace was built in 1132 on a small triangular castle on the river island in the middle of the old city of Anasi. It was the first residence of the Lord of Anasi, and soon became the administrative headquarters of the Earl of Geneva, and later became the courts, mints and prisons. Now a small museum has been set up to showcase the local history.

This is definitely the most photogenic prison in the world, the most iconic monument in Annecy, with the city's small streets, running water, flowers and tourists forming the strong tourist landscape of Annecy's old town.

It is said that this place used to be an ancient prison, the whole building is a ship-shaped design, built on the water such a way of construction is a bit of a Jiangnan River house feeling! I saw a lot of old European prison doors, prison keys, old soup pots, and I saw a lot of movies and TVs here as a child. Super fun!
