it has a unique taste.

It is a temple built in the Kamakura period near Ashikaga School. The entrance gate, the main hall, and the Tahoto were very quaint and created a unique atmosphere. When you visit Ashikaga, I think it is the must-see place next to the Fuji tour of Ashikaga Flower Park.
12 century building. The proportion from the front through the gate is very beautiful. The combination of curves and weights on the large roof is exquisite.
Buddha Temple built in 1299 (15th century). It's just around the time the Ottoman Empire was founded. It is a valuable medieval Zen Buddhist temple and is also designated as a national treasure. Enter from the south gate and walk straight to the main hall. You can also get the red stamp in the main hall.
National treasure! One of the sights of the temple

Rebuilt in 1299. Although it was rebuilt, it is rare to have a Zen-style architecture in the Kamakura period and was designated as a national treasure. If you are sightseeing in Oaji Temple, you cannot remove it here. Let's pray after the gong rings!

It's right next to Ashikaga School, so I stopped by. I didn't know that the temple existed or it was a national treasure, so I'm glad I stopped by.
