Nice soba shop across
Nothing much around this station except a pick up point to onsen around the area We went across the street and found a nice old traditional shop selling soba which is very nice
Since Ashihara Onsen Station is a bridge station, the ticket gate is on the 2 floor, but when you get off at the west exit where the bus or taxi stand is located, there is a tourist information center. There were also plenty of tourist pamphlets and leaflets. Also, since it is a new station building with the opening of the Shinkansen, there is plenty of space, and I was able to sit on a bench and take a break.
He helped me when I was in trouble because I couldn't contact my accommodation. I was in trouble because the hotel didn't answer the phone at all, but he called me a direct phone call and connected me.
There is also 5 km from Ashihara Onsen Station to the center of Ashihara Onsen. Therefore, few people aim at Ashihara Onsen from this station. The taxi driver was also dozing on the bench in front of the station because he was free, and no one visited the tourist information center. A quiet old bird is singing around Ashihara Onsen Station.
It is located on the first floor of Ashihara Onsen Station. It's a little confusing because it's hidden by an elevator. It seems that some people use it as a break space.
