A large square is opposite Bamberg Cathedral, next to the new palace where the Roman emperor and archbishop lived. In fact, visitors are most interested in the rose garden behind the new palace. From the Rose Garden you can see the Church of St. Michel and overlook the entire Old Bamberg, the best viewing platform.

Bamberger is located in Bavaria, 50 km from Nuremberg in the north and 3 km from the intersection of the Regnitz and Main rivers.
