The Gonggar Glacier is in the valley adjacent to the Xianggla Glacier, and the Gonggar Ice Cave is at the end of the ice tongue of the glacier. The ice cave is about 165 meters long and 15 meters high. It is the largest ice cave known in Tibet. Cave Ice Cave, the cross section of the cave is approximately a semicircle extending deep into the glacier ice body
The cave walls and roof have formed a series of pits due to uneven melting over a long period of time. The ice surface is crystal clear and the surface is as smooth and round as jade.
The light from the entrance of the cave penetrates into the ice layer, showing a faint blue color, revealing the layers of glacial texture in the ice body. It looks like a crystal palace under the sunlight. It can be entered in both directions.
Located in Bianba County, Qamdo City, Tibet In Puyu Scenic Area, Set of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, rivers and lakes and other natural landscapes.
