The Old Castle in Bayonne is not really a tourist attraction. It still belongs to the army and is not open to visitors. The castle took its name of ‘Château Vieux’ (Old Castle) when a new castle (‘Châ...
Not much here
Plain exterior but you can not go inside. If you walk around the castle, you can see parts of ramparts and parts of old Roman walls. Overall, just walk by it.
Nice, but no visits
The fort is still be used by the French military so no visits. From the outside, it's quite an impressive castle.
