楞严塔在鸡足山顶，塔高13层，山顶不大，显得塔身非常高大，特别是清早总是云雾缭绕时隐时现。去的时候雾大没有看见是否能登顶。整个山顶有一半在修建，时隐时现能看见一些周围的山头，感觉太早上去还是不好，现在又是雨季山顶大雾是常态，下到半山云开雾散，直后悔下山的太快。
鸡足山楞严塔，为十三层密檐式空心方塔，塔高约40多米，塔内为七层，可以直接登临塔的顶层。楞严塔的原址，曾经是建于明朝时期的光明宝塔，“塔中虚外直，正方形七级，每级丈余，高十余丈，修建七年。
东南亚著名的佛教圣地的鸡足山顶，这也是中国汉传藏传佛教交汇地、佛教禅宗的发源地、释迦牟尼的大弟子仰光迦叶开辟的道场。近距离看上去蛮美的，有种纯净的感觉，但是拍照片也要讲究点视角。
