The square of Machollère is located in the center of Bologna, built in 1200, to the north is two medieval palaces built in the early 13th century, and to the south is the cathedral of St. Peterronio, which was built in 1390 AD and has not yet been completed. In the middle of the square is an open-air cinema with movies (and advertisements) every night. Bologna is my favorite Italian city, with simple and elegant architecture, clean and tidy. There is the first university in Europe, the University of Bologna. Bologna is a wealthy city, Ferrari, Maserati and other famous car brands were born here.

This square is very good, there are many wandering artists, and the cultural atmosphere is strong.
This square is located in the center of Bologna, where you can see the city's iconic architecture, the Poseidon statue. It is a major landmark in Bologna both in history (think of the coronation of Charles V) and in life today. Surrounded by some magnificent buildings, including the church and the Palace of Acousio and the municipal center (you will easily recognize it, because there is a statue of Pope Gregory XIII in front of the door, the man who invented the Gregory calendar). In this square you can go to the public library or Palazzo Re Enzo, where King Enzio has been in captivity since 1249 until his death.
