Old Town Hall

The old town hall, now the city museum, exhibits many of Bratislava's history and artifacts, and it is said that four bells on the tower will ring. The parts of the building are from different eras.

The Old City Hall of Bratislava consists of several buildings that were not originally built as City Hall, and the towers date back to the 14th century AD, making it the oldest building in the Old City of Bratislava.

After coming down from the castle hill, I went to the old city of Bratislava. I walked through the old city hall along the way. The old city is not big, but it has a special feature. The surrounding buildings with historical and cultural backgrounds and embassies.

The Old Town Hall, along with its clock tower, forms the landmark of the Old Town. This building was originally built in the 14th century with Gothic clock tower on the mountain wall. On the second floor of the 15th century, a chapel and the office of the government affairs committee were built. The fire was in 1733. The tower was changed to the current baroque style, and another building was added to become the current appearance. However, some parts of different periods and styles remain. The first floor of the building has been established as the Presburg Museum since 1868, showing the history of the city and the city hall. The old town hall was built in 1421 and was opened as the municipal museum in 1868. Behind the old town hall was the official residence of the Hungarian archbishop and later incorporated into the town hall. It witnessed important events in European history, the "Plesburg Peace" between Napoleon and the Holy Roman Emperor in 1805, declaring the end of the Holy Roman Empire. There is an old Roland fountain in front of the town hall.

The old town hall in Bratislava is the center of the old city. This is an ancient building with a history of more than 300 years. It covers a very large area and is a tall bell tower in the middle.
