Very outstanding architectural gem. The third largest mosque in Cairo. There is a small historical exhibition. There are many architectural details - the shape of the lighthouse. I climbed to the roof of the mosque to see the surrounding scenery. Not crowded at all! No tickets required. But the shoe attendant kept asking for more tips!

Amazing place. The only mud brick masjid which is standing today in Egypt. Minaret is open for people to climb to the top, and the views are wonderful.
The oldest mosque in Cairo's old city was built during the Abbasid dynasty in the ninth century. The simple and yellow pointed arcades surrounded the square courtyard. Its pointed arches were hundreds of years earlier than the Gothic architecture in Europe. Although the overall decoration is relatively simple, But it has the basic characteristics of the mosque in the future, which is a simple and beautiful mosque.
Another mosque is very concentrated and very close to each other and there are many people. The appearance is particularly spectacular. Although they are almost the same, they really give people a very different feeling.
This is a very special mosque, there are few people, and the surrounding neighborhoods are quite flavorful. And the minarets next to it can go up and you can see the Cairo neighborhood. Worth visiting.
