Cape Arid National Park

Cape Arid National Park is located in the east of Esperance, about an hour's drive away. Watching the sea on the white sandy beach, hiking in the jungle, and camping are the main purposes of coming here, but the roads in the park are not easy to walk. The area needs to be reached by 4x4. On the beach you can swim, fish and, if you're lucky, see whales, seals, and Barron's geese in the distance. Coves such as Yokinup are suitable for surfing. Among the jungle trekking routes, the route to Tower Peak on MtRagged (MtRagged) is quite challenging, with a round trip of 3 kilometers and about 3 hours. In 1930, the world's original ant population was discovered here. There are campgrounds at Thomas River, Thomas Fishing Grounds, Seal Creek, Jorndee Creek, Mount Rakid. Opt for camping and you're likely to see stars and nocturnal animals such as honey possums and wallabies.
