Well worth it
Best castle I've been to. This really did exceed all expectations. Paid and extra 3 euros for guided tour handset. Staff friendly, not too busy (Thursday). Loved it.
Beautiful and no crowds in May 24
We spent a lovely few days here, staying in the Hotel de le Cité, which was itself excellent. Carcassonne is stunning, large and beautiful inside and out although the shops inside are full of tourist ...
