Elizabeth Fort

The name of Fort Elizabeth is taken from the name of Duke Bernhardt's wife. The castle has a long history of more than 300 years. It is backed by green hills, with white walls and red window surrounds. It is simple and calm, showing grandeur and atmosphere. The city of Cork can be seen from Fort Elizabeth, and on Sundays there are fairs of Irish crafts and food. The castle will also hold several exhibitions, including art collection exhibitions, music museums, drama museums, etc., which are very worth visiting. The music exhibition hall on the third floor of the castle contains the manuscripts of many composers, there is a special room for Reg’s relics, as well as the musical instrument exhibition room of the 17th and 18th centuries. The larger one was originally the Duke's Dining Room. There were exquisite and expensive tapestries on the three walls. The huge rectangular dining table was covered with a white tablecloth.
