| Walking around the ancient city, feeling the sea breeze, and letting your heart soar...
West of Erhai Lake,
refers to the attractions on the side of Dali Ancient City.
The ancient buildings,
having withstood the test of time,
still stand between the mountains and the lake,
showcasing the unique charm of Dali.
The stunning sea view,
whether you walk and stop to chase the wind and watch the sea,
or simply wait for a sunrise by the Erhai Lake,
or go to the most beautiful internet-famous spots,
you will unknowingly
be intoxicated by the stunning scenery of Cangshan and Erhai.
👍Recommended attractions on the West Line:
There are quite a few attractions on the West Line. Based on the ones I've visited, I highly recommend Erhai Ecological Corridor➡️Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas➡️Dali Ancient City ➡️Xizhou Ancient Town.
Erhai Ecological Corridor: This corridor on the west of Erhai Lake is built along the lake shore. The scenery along the way is beautiful, with many famous check-in spots, such as Yangnan Creek, San Sheng Island, Cai Village Wharf, Longkan Wharf, Panxi, Langqiao, etc. Not only is the scenery stunning, but it is also a great place to watch the sunrise, sunset and seagulls.
Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas: Chongsheng Temple is actually the Tianlong Temple in 'The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils', with the ever-changing Cangshan Mountain to the west and the vast Erhai Lake to the east. It is a symbol of Dali.
Dali Ancient City: Dali Ancient City, with the rippling Erhai Lake to the east and the evergreen Cangshan Mountain to the west, attracts many people day and night with its unique culture and landscape. You can visit the Sheet Factory, South City Gate, stroll around Foreigner Street, Confucius Temple...
Xizhou Ancient Town: The beauty of Xizhou is primitive and simple. Here, you can walk through the streets and alleys, check out the handmade tie-dyeing, visit the artistic shops in the ancient town, and taste the unique snacks of Dali.
🚉Travel Tips:
You can take the bus around Erhai Lake to various attractions, or drive or take a taxi.
In the Ecological Corridor, you can only ride a bicycle or a shared electric bike, or you can choose to take a sightseeing car. You can walk short distances, ride a bike to sightsee, or take a sightseeing car.
📝Note tips:
It is recommended to stay in Dali Ancient City at night, or stay in the ancient city for one night and then stay near other attractions, because the ancient city is brightly lit at night and becomes bustling and prosperous, which is very worth seeing.
The Bohai Ecological Corridor, a beautiful ecological corridor, goes down from the Caicun Pier, a long road to the north and south. The greening by the lake is very good. There are only walking, cycling, no motor vehicles, and it is very pleasant to stroll.
The ecological corridor only walked near Xiaoyanzhuang to Longyan Ancient Ferry and then went south. I feel that this main attraction is Longyan Ancient Ferry. This section is basically separated from the lawn by the lake, and the ancient ferry extends to the lake. Come back to ride other sections around the lake.
The Bohai Ecological Corridor is a boundary between people and the lake, which is physically separated to give the Bohai Sea 'breath'. It connects the villages along the coast, making each characteristic Bai traditional village a 'string of pearls around the Bohai Sea'. Walking slowly along the ecological corridor, a nostalgia picture is slowly unfolding.
Suitable for cycling and walking The scenery is beautiful, suitable for friends and family to play and see the Bohai Sea
The scenery of the Bohai Ecological Corridor is good, there is wind, watching the sea, and there are bicycles to ride! It's good to walk and play!
