Danjiang Drift

Danjiang Rafting Attraction is located in Danfeng County at the southern foot of Qinling Mountains. Danjiang River is 443 kilometers long and is a branch of Hanjiang River. It is a scenic spot with mild climate, no scorching heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. Many natural and cultural landscapes are a leisure resort for tourism. Among them are Erlang Temple of Jin Dynasty, Tomb of Four Haos of Han Dynasty, Guild Hall Group of Qing Dynasty, Taoist Longtai Temple, Qin-Chu Boundary Wall, Wuguanshengsai, one of the "Four Passes of Guanzhong", the majestic and wonderful Guanshanxiu Peak, the mysterious and strange Huanglong Cave, the verdant and beautiful Shangshan Snow Clearing, and the majestic Longtan Waterfall. Danjiang rafting is divided into three sections, two of which are in Danfeng County: the upper section starts from the Erlang Temple in Dihua and ends at the boat club hall, with a total length of 15 kilometers. The river is wide and the flow is smooth. The ancients once described it as "the rapids under the clear river" and "the tide of the Han River is green". Along the river, there are rocky Dongyang, the county flower resort, the snowy Shangshan, the ancient tombs of Sihao, the Liangling Grottoes, and the Shang Yang fiefdom. The lower section starts from the place where Xu Xiake boarded the boat in front of the boat club hall and ends at Yueri Beach. The total length is 7.5 kilometers and takes about 1 and a half hours. Along the river, there are scenes such as cockscombs inserting into the Han River, golden roosters locking the pass, Zhenjiang giant stones, turtles and white camels, Nan Wang beheading the mountain, and Yueri Beach, and there are cliff inscriptions in various scripts. The section in Shangnan County, from Xianghe Zhenmiaogou to Yueliangwan, is 17 kilometers long, with deep water and rapid currents, whirlpools and high waves, which are shocking but not dangerous, and full of fun. Along the river are Hongyukou, Shuxilou, Moon Bay, etc. If you are not satisfied, you can continue to drift to Bailang Street and visit the Three Provinces Stone scenic spots.
