Hainan's largest reservoir, with very good water quality, surrounded by tropical rainforests, and beautiful scenery. It's only half an hour's drive from Danzhou, which is quite convenient. It's a good place for weekend camping. There's also Lanyang Hot Spring nearby for a dip.

Hainan's largest reservoir is the Songtao Reservoir in Danzhou, west of Hainan Island. It is a key drinking water source protection area in Hainan Province and a multifunctional large-scale comprehensive water conservancy project integrating irrigation, flood control, water supply, power generation, navigation, breeding, afforestation and tourism. Songtao Reservoir starts from Shamaoling in the north and ends at Xishuishan in the south. It borders Qiongzhong County in the east and Baisha County in the west. It spans three cities and counties: Danzhou, Baisha and Qiongzhong.

Songtao Reservoir is located in the southern part of Danzhou City, Hainan Province, and the reservoir backflows to Pingyi Town, Baisha County. The dam is located in Qinzukou Gorge, Danzhou City, upstream of Nandu River, with a catchment area of ​​1,440 square kilometers and a total storage capacity of 3.34 billion cubic meters, making it the largest reservoir in Hainan Province.
