Fuzhou East Gate Christian Church is located in Dongmen Madao Street, built in 1896, formerly known as "Shangde Church". The East Gate Christian Church was founded only by renting private houses as a place for religious activities, in 1920 a single-storey house was built along the street as a chapel, and in 1921 the houses of foreign missionaries on Taiping Street, Hawthorn, were demolished, and old materials were used to build a two-story chapel behind the chapel. The old city was renovated in 1994 and the new church was built in 2007. It is a Bachelor's style of architecture. It was built in 380 AD. It is a representative Bachelor's church. The activity area after entering the East Gate Church only occupies a small area. Going further is the main hall for formal religious activities, which occupies the largest area.
