Skip the Springs
The springs are really dirty. Don't go thinking they will look like they do in the pics. Locals drive crazy on the back roads. All food offerings are below average.
Great time of year to see manatees. The day we went there... 499 manatees. Easy walk and plenty of areas to view then. Saw lots of fish and birds. Must see

There were a lot of black plastic barricades so the sand didn’t go into the spring. While we didn’t get the beautiful view as in the pictures, the hiking was easy and beautiful.
