Baisha Lake

Baisha Lake is located in the third company of the 185th Regiment on the northwest side of Habahe County (since the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is a reclamation regiment mainly composed of militiamen, the regiment and company here refer to an area, and a company is roughly equivalent to a village). It is about 70 kilometers away from Habahe County and about 160 kilometers away from Burqin County. It is a quiet lake surrounded by deserts. After arriving at the lake, you can walk along the wooden plank road. Strolling along the lake is the main content of visiting Baisha Lake Attraction. The wooden plank road by the lake is about 1 kilometer long. Walking on the plank road, you can enjoy the beautiful lakeside scenery with swaying tree shadows. At the end of the plank road is an observation deck, where the view of the lake is relatively open. There is a sand hill opposite that is reflected on the lake. The picture is beautiful and it is a good place for taking pictures. After playing by the lake, it is recommended to walk back to the gate of the Attraction. Because there is a sand dune between the gate of the Attraction and the lake area to play, the sand dune is not high, and a pavilion is built on the top. It takes about 15 minutes to climb the pavilion from the road. Since Baisha Lake Attraction is very close to the border, you can see the scenery of Kazakhstan on the opposite side nearby. This pavilion is a good viewing point nearby, where you can see the quiet village and woods on the opposite side, with a very wide field of vision. In addition, when you return to the gate of the Attraction, there is a small piece of beautiful birch forest, where you can walk in the forest and take beautiful photos. Opposite the gate of the Attraction is the location of the third company of the 185th Regiment of the Corps. The residents of the company are all Han people who came from the inland to guard the border. They planted vegetables in their small yards, and basically every family opened a restaurant. To come to Baisha Lake, you usually charter a car from Burqin or Habahe County.
