Very interesting fort
Absolutely amazing views of the city and fjords. The walk to the top can be great exercise or there is car parking as well. Take a few hours to explore, visit the museum and simply take in the views! ...
One of the best fortresses i visited
One of the most interesting fortresses i visited, and probably one the highest. A rather steep climb up, but worth it.
Lovely surroundings!
Nice views of Halden city and the ocean, it was lovely to walk around on the Festning. We did not visit any museums or took a guided walk, but enjoyed the visit anyways! It's a short walk down to Hald...

Immense fort that took us a good half day to visit. View of the fjord. Story rich in rebounds. Many buildings. Very beautiful and interesting.
