Hancheng Museum

Hancheng Museum is located in the Confucian Temple, Dongying Temple and Chenghuang Temple in the east of the ancient city of Hancheng, Shaanxi Province. It was officially established in April 1984. It is a local history museum with distinctive characteristics, rich collections, and a combination of ancient architecture and cultural relics. It is a microcosm of Hancheng, a famous historical and cultural city. The exhibition is open to tourists. The initial basic exhibition mainly includes the first and second exhibition rooms with ancient handicrafts and Hancheng local chronicles and history exhibitions, as well as the "Stone Carving Exhibition Room" and the "Hancheng Famous Anecdotes Exhibition Room". The exhibition room covers an area of ​​1,000 square meters and displays more than 740 cultural relics of various types. These cultural relics comprehensively reflect the long development history of Hancheng, a famous historical and cultural city, rich cultural relics and monuments, unique local customs and folk customs, and profound cultural connotations. At the same time, it fully reflects the excellent cultural traditions of many outstanding figures represented by Sima Qian, a world cultural celebrity, who have been cultivated here. In addition to the basic exhibition, a temporary exhibition room with an area of ​​450 square meters has also been opened.
