Old City Gate

I came to Old City after 4 years, but it seems to be almost the same and I feel emotional. It rained in the morning today, so the road was rough, so it was a bit uncomfortable to go around, but it's good

The only remaining gate in the ancient city of Shenglong - Donghemen - Quan Chởng. This city gate is still the main traffic road in Hanoi, and the lively Tongchun market and small shops next to it are cleverly integrated, especially when you come here at night, there will be beautiful lights shining on the city gate, super sentimental. Donghemen is also known as the "Guanzhang Pavilion". It was built in Li Dynasty after 1749. It is the only remaining ancient city gate in Hanoi. Although Donghemen is a relics, it has not been closed. People and cars can go to other places in Hanoi through the city gate. The monuments are so dependent on the life of Hanoi residents from a distance. 

The entrance of a very old city pool is not very wide, the gate is also a stone structure, many characteristics of the old-fashioned style, the ancient city gate is also a long historical review, the environment here is also very noisy.

The old gate is different from the natural engraved in the urban environment, the walls are huge, and understand how the entire city of Hanoi was sealed in ancient times. The French Quarter is the old colonial town centre, and today you can walk through the outside market and narrow streets, as the French did in the 1930s.

Today, I participated in the team parade, led by two college students to explain the local history along the way. Both of them were friendly and took us to different places. But the attractions are all Vietnamese and have not been explained in detail, a bit confused. If there is a better English comparison, it will give visitors a deeper understanding, and the old buildings hope to continue to be preserved and protected. We came here a few years ago, and we were in the local market and planned to visit the ancient city gate again. It is worth seeing because it is very historical, beautiful and a good place to take photos. Recommend to tourists.

The second time I came to Hanoi, it was still as easy to get lost. I always feel that I can take a bird's eye view and I will definitely not lose it again. The nearby scenery is full of life and worth exploring. The Vietnamese people live in ....., the biggest difference with China is that there are many street stall owners, mostly women and the elderly; Dishesy but not busy; the store is small and full, like a tourist city, more like an old city, can easily find life, life of the fresh atmosphere; the old people pack a group to encourage each other, very wise; sister still leads fashion, never like losing. Next time I come back, live longer, one or two months, learn the wisdom of life in Vietnam, slow but organized, chaotic but clean, especially the concept of the road in my mind, how to recognize it. Like Vietnam is a strong atmosphere of life, from morning to night.
