Longfeng Mountain Sceneic Area

Longfeng Mountain, with its beautiful mountains, strange caves and ancient temples, has become one of the famous scenic spots in western Liaoning, which is fascinating. Longfeng Mountain is surrounded by mountains and belongs to the Songling Mountain Range, with a forest coverage rate of 98%. Longshou Peak is the highest peak, with an altitude of 865 meters. There are many caves in Longfeng Mountain with different shapes, including more than 70 caves of different sizes. Tiantai Temple was built in Chaoyang Cave, which is more than 300 years old. It is rare in the world that the temple was built in the cave. A large number of Hongshan cultural artifacts were unearthed in Shuangshi Cave, and Jinchan Cave opened its huge mouth and laughed at the sky. The natural ancient cypresses on the slopes and ridges are rooted on strange rocks, like phoenix feathers swaying in the wind, like dragon scales shining in the sun, and the age of the trees is more than 800 years old. The "First Cypress in Guandong" and "Second Cypress in Guandong" confirmed by forestry experts stand in front of the main hall of Tiantai Temple. Many cypresses embrace rocks and hold stones, and most of them have double hearts, which is particularly unique. Since the second year of Emperor Kangxi's reign till now, Chaoyang Cave has produced many eminent monks and given birth to many moving legends, such as the legend of Sha Fu riding a tiger, Fo Hong supporting the wall, the golden foal, the golden rabbit, and the golden pigeon.
