Japan's largest zelkova
Original Text
The largest zelkova in Japan in the schoolyard of Higashine Elementary School. It's over 1500 years old, so I'm surprised that such a big tree is in the schoolyard of an elementary school in the town, not in the mountains or in the precincts of a shrine. A large tree that can be clearly seen from a distance. I think it is like a guardian deity for people in this area. There is a parking lot for tourists beside the elementary school.

It is a cherry blossom on the premises of an elementary school. The thickness of the trunk is not perfect. In late October, when I went, autumn leaves began at the top of the tree. There was a sign that was off limits other than those involved, but it means that it is off limits in the fence for root protection. After seeing the reviews of other people, I found out that I could enter the elementary school site. i wanted to know before i went. . .
It is said to be the highest in Japan, 28 meters high, 16 meters around the main street, and 1,000 years old or 1,500 years old. I visited in early July, but the fresh green leaves were vigorously overgrown and it was wonderful as a majestic hall 々. It is located on the premises of an elementary school, but you can visit it freely.
On the west side of Higashine Elementary School. If you only visit, there is no problem even if you step on the premises. It is worth visiting for those who do not want to fall off the slope of life, not only 46 or 48 or idol groups.
A large zelkova on the premises of Higashine Elementary School. It is 28m high and 5m trunk. Yokozuna in the east with Japan Mitachi number. It is spectacular enough.
