fantastic window into the life of a wealthy merchant family

The is one of two former merchant homes in Hino that has been converted into a museum. The original house was built in the 1860s, but successive generations kept on adding to it and it is now really ...

If you have time, I recommend that you listen to the explanation of スタッフ and watch it inside.

It is one of the three facilities open to the public in [Hino Town] (Hino Town Tangible Cultural Property, the other two [Omi Hino Merchant Building (former Hyoemon Yamanaka Residence, National Registered Tangible Cultural Property)] [Hino Town Kado Senseikan (former Masano Gensan Pharmaceutical Store, Nationally registered tangible cultural property]). As you can see from the outside of the building, it has a size of 2000m2, and the interior consists of a Japanese-style room, a Western-style room, and a garden. I need time. Interior decoration ...

The garden was also wonderful. The building was delicate and crafted in detail.

I stopped by when sightseeing at Morisada Cafe and Umamioka Watamuko Shrine. It is located between the parking lot of Umamioka Watamuko Shrine and the approach. Admission is 300 yen for adults (as of April 2022). The exterior was modest, but the inside was a magnificent mansion. The buildings, such as bathroom tiles and stained glass-style windows, were delicate and detailed. The garden was a splendid garden with a dynamic and new breath.

One of the venues of Hino Hina Matsuri travel

    Original Text

One of the venues for the Hino Hinamatsuri travel. Masayoshi Yamanaka is a Hino merchant who has been in the sake brewing business in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture since the first year of TENPO. The vast site facing the approach to Umamioka Watamuko Shrine is lined with many buildings to the back, and it is quite spectacular even if you look at it from the outside. There were many Hina dolls that seemed to be correct in history between each Japan, and I saw them in a relaxed mood.

I'd like to eat in the garden if I can.

If the Hino Merchant Hall is the main house of the Yamanaka family, it corresponds to that house. The former has a large element of the museum, but this is a facility where you can see how the actual Hino Merchant's main house lives. I went to the Hinamatsuri exhibition, but the locals played the music and let my family experience it. Only in the merchant's mansion, the place where people come is relaxed, the place where they live is boring, and there is a stop. It was Sunday on the day, so here ... in a first-come, first-served basis.
