Fupi Stone

Axe splitting stone is a very famous attraction in Huashan Xifeng. With the flow of people, a large granite on the mountain seems to be split into a few pieces but not separated. There are many people taking pictures here. Occasionally, they can grab a position and take a photo. There is a monument on the side. The place where the legendary agar rescues the mother. There are lotus and stone axe carvings, and children like to take pictures on the edge.

The axe splits the stone into three sections, the height is more than a foot, the length is a few feet, the waist cracks into three sections, like the axe split. The stone and the peak form a hole, only one person can climb into it. When you enter the hole, you can see that the top is uneven, like a woman lying down and leaving traces, the abdominal milk indentation is clear and discernible. Shi Zhi has written about this strangely.

又因峰巅有巨石形状好似莲花瓣，古代文人多称其为莲花峰、芙蓉峰。袁宏道在他的《华山永》中记述：“石叶上覆而横裂”;徐霞客《游太华山日记》中也记述：“峰上石耸起，有石片覆其上，如荷花。”李白诗中有“石作莲花云作台”句，也当指此石。西峰为一块完整巨石，浑然天成。西北绝崖千丈，似刀削锯截，其陡峭巍峨、阳刚挺拔之势是华山山形之代表，因此古人常把华山叫莲花山。
