It is said to be the smallest passengers on the Shinkansen or an unexplored station, but I was surprised at the building of the station that was unexpectedly splendid. What is it necessary to make it so good? Even the roof doesn't have to be so much (although it may be necessary because the snow season is difficult). It is a station name different from Tsugaru Futamata Station on the Tsugaru Line on the conventional line. It's almost adjacent. The 'michi no EKI Imabetsu' is established in the form of Tsugaru Futatsu station.
It is not a boast of "the smallest Shinkansen town in Japan", but it was a mysterious station why the Shinkansen stops here in the first place. It seems good to have a station around the signal station that connects to the Tsugaru Line, but was there any inconvenience that the conventional line station of the Tsugaru Line and the Shinkansen station were the same? When I got off for a try, several travelers who seemed to be heading for Tsugaru Futamata Station on the Tsugaru Line got off, but I couldn't see any local daily customers. It is a station of Hokkaido Shinkansen operated by JR Hokkaido, but it is located in Honshu, the northernmost Shinkansen station in Honshu, and the southernmost station of JR Hokkaido. There are no shops or station rental offices in the station premises, and it is located at the adjacent road station.
A station that is for maintenance of the Seikan Tunnel. Even though it is a Shinkansen, few people get off. It seems that there is a bus that goes out to the Tsugaru Railway side for the time being.
Rather than a station for the Shinkansen, the meaning of the line maintenance base of the Seikan Tunnel seems to be stronger. I'm very wondering why there is a station here. It's the smallest Shinkansen station in Japan. There is also a station on the Tsugaru Line, but you can't stop by unless you have a car.
