Beautiful scenery and worth the hike. You can just do a short walk up to the glacier. Definitely recommend going in the morning to get a car park and to have the sun on the glacier

Nevertheless, take it with. Parking is the only problem. Otherwise super simple, well reached and super beautiful. And NO, you don't need a pass, permission, entry key or any ticket.
