In 1289, the court stopped the Jiaolai Transportation and the Jiaolai River was scrapped. The development around Jiaozhou Bay has just begun, and it has declined.

Qingdao, Jiaozhou Bay, anciently known as Shaohai, Jiaoao, is located in the middle of the Yellow Sea, the south bank of Jiaodong Peninsula, and Qingdao City, Shandong Province.
