Upon arrival in Jingyuan, visit the local attractions, the famous 'Eight Sceneries of Jingyuan', including Woniushan, Yanzhixia, Laolongtan, Daxueshan, etc., and learn about their unique historical and cultural background. Choose to camp or stay in a farmhouse in Jingyuan to experience the local customs. Day two: Depart from Jingyuan to Liupanshan National Forest Park to admire the spectacular natural scenery. Hike or ride in the forest park to explore the natural scenery. Have lunch at a farmhouse near the forest park and taste local delicacies, such as Liupanshan wild mushroom noodles. Day three: Go to Sumeru Mountain Grottoes to learn about ancient Buddhist culture. 🌈 Xiaonanchuan primitive forest, super photogenic, really love it 🍂 The best hiking route is to enter via Xiaonanchuan water route and exit by land! 🚶 The hiking distance is about 7 kilometers, taking photos along the way won't be too tiring. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to tour the area, including photo time 🕹 Ningxia Liupanshan National Forest Park Liupanshan National Forest Park 🚖 Mode of transportation Self-driving 🌵 Staying in Jingyuan County, about 20 kilometers from the scenic area, there is a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area, which charges a fee, seems to be 10 yuan. 🍀 Bought the tickets online, 80 yuan for adults, 64 yuan for students, including round-trip shuttle bus. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach Xiaonanchuan by bus. You can take photos at the entrance of Xiaonanchuan, and after that, you can take the water route in.🍀 The water route has streams, moss, and forests, truly a natural oxygen bar, a great place to escape the heat. 💫 After walking for a while, you will see signposts, health trails, and up there is a primitive forest. The photos I took with the wooden plank road were taken here, after taking photos, continue along the water route. When you reach the Yunnv Waterfall, you have completed the water route 💫 Then return by land, don't take the sightseeing bus!! Continue walking back, and you will pass through the primitive forest again. Unleash your photography skills to take beautiful photos, making the trip worthwhile!! 💫 Liangdian Gorge, it takes only 10 minutes to walk through, not much to see. However, the grassland in Liangdian Gorge is quite beautiful for photos. After taking photos, you can take the scenic area bus back, note that the return trip is directly to the entrance of the scenic area, the bus does not stop at Xiaonanchuan! 🚶 About clothing Wear a windbreaker, work pants, plus long johns, a thin sweater, just right! Liupan Mountain National Forest Park is located in the southern part of Ningxia, spanning two counties and one district: Jingyuan, Longde, and Yuanzhou District, with a total area of 67,800 hectares. The main peak, Migang Mountain, has an altitude of 2942 meters. The main attractions include Wild Lotus Valley, Xiaonanchuan, Liangdian Gorge, Botanical Garden, and Er Long River, among others. This area is a junction of the Central Plains agricultural culture and the northern nomadic culture, a necessary path of the eastern section of the ancient Silk Road's northern route, and a military stronghold contested by military strategists through the ages. The Xiaonanchuan and Liangdian Gorge scenic areas that we visited this time are located more than 5 kilometers from Jinghe Source Town in Jingyuan County, Guyuan City. As the name suggests, this is the source of the Jing River. After entering the visitor center, one must first take a scenic shuttle bus to reach the Xiaonanchuan and Botanical Garden attractions. Due to time constraints, we only visited the Xiaonanchuan scenic area, which offers both water and land trails, with a one-way distance of about 3.5 kilometers. Additionally, there is an electric cart service (10 yuan per person one-way), but the last 0.5 kilometers to reach the Yunnv Waterfall must be walked. It is recommended to enter via the water route and return by electric cart. The scenery along the water route is quite nice, and the last 500 meters or so are probably the essence of Xiaonanchuan, where the road becomes more difficult to navigate. There is also a pine needle forest trail along the way, but due to time constraints and having seen many pine needle forests in the Greater Khingan Range, I did not go there. After visiting the Xiaonanchuan and Botanical Garden attractions, walk about 100 meters uphill to the shuttle bus stop for Liangdian Gorge. You can take the bus to reach the Liangdian Gorge scenic spot. It is advised to only check out the nearby Mongolian yurt-style buildings, Mani stone piles, and lawns at the arrival point of Liangdian Gorge, and there is no need to go down to the riverbank.
