The other day, when I was looking for the source of the Kotsuki River, I arrived at this pond near Yaeyama Park. This Kotsuki Pond is said to have been certified as the "100 Best Waters in Heisei" by the Ministry of the Environment in June 2008. The clear water of Kotsuchi Pond that springs out was scooped and drank, and it had a soft taste. Free toilets and parking lots are nearby, there is Yae rice terraces on the downstream side, and Sakurajima is a good place to take a walk in the distance.
