This museum was closed (except for the restroom) the first time I went, on two separate days in April 2017. A week later, in May, I went again and it was open. Unfortunately, there was nothing displ...
It seems to be a combination of the Higashi Daisetsu Museum and the Nukabira Gengengo Visitor Center of the Ministry of the Environment. The hall is full of sunlight and has a fashionable feel. There are stuffed animals that live in their lives, but the hall is bright and you can easily see bears clinging to the trees. There were many butterfly specimens and it was beautiful.
i realized that i didn't really know about the heavy snow.

I happened to stop by on the way back from seeing the Taushubetsu River Bridge, but the history of "heavy snow" that I wasn't very aware of and the animals and plants that live there are exhibits at a brand new museum. We stayed for a good time!
2013 Year 5 In the month, the "Higashi Daisetsu Museum" has been renamed the Higashi Daisetsu Nature Museum in cooperation with the Visitor Center of the Ministry of the Environment, and is active in a beautifully built building.
I feel the nature of heavy snow. Not only the explanation, but also the stuffed and the sense of realism is wonderful. Also, although it was only a little, it was good that there were living creatures such as fish, headgear and insects in the aquarium.
