Zhongzheng Park

The main entrance of Zhongzheng Park is located on Xiner Road, you can climb up the stairs or walk up the slope on the side. The park itself is divided into three floors. The first floor has a pavilion, a chess center and sports and leisure facilities. It attracts a large number of people to play here every day. The second floor is the location of the "main altar". Every year, the Keelung Zhongyuan Purdue Festival is held here, and the scene is very spectacular. At the high point of the park, there is a white Guanyin Buddha statue. The 22.5-meter-high Guanyin statue is divided into five layers. It can be climbed to the panoramic view of Keelung and is a representative landmark of Keelung City. On both sides of the Buddha statue, there are two huge golden lions sitting in the town, very peaceful and solemn. Eighteen statues of arhats were also erected around the Buddha statues, each with different expressions and movements, very vivid and interesting. Walk forward about 0.8 kilometers from Zhongzheng Park. In the plum garden on the right, there is an 8-inch steel cannon made in England in 1887, which was moved from the white rice urn fort.
