Ross Castle

Located in the famous Gilani Park, Ross castle is a noble castle with more than 100 years of history. The castle looks antique and is a beautiful garden in its four weeks. There are many precious and rare plants planted here. The air is very fresh and definitely a good place to visit.

Ross Castle is the main building in Killarney Park, an old castle of Irish nobles. The whole building is very beautiful and additional tickets are required to enter the visit. The large garden outside the castle is even more beautiful, the lawn is flat like a golf course, there are very few people, and the photos are absolutely super ideal.

Built in the 15th century on the shore of Lake Lynn on the western outskirts of Killani, Ross Castle is a defensive and residential castle in the Middle Ages. The most beautiful moment of the castle is when the sun sets, the lights of the castle and the beautiful sunset are shining, very beautiful, definitely to enjoy.

我们驱车的第一站是离开镇区不远的一座古城堡，这座被称为“罗斯城堡”（Ross Castle）的景点位于基拉尼国家公园区域内。建于15世纪的中世纪城堡，曾经是属于爱尔兰部族奥多诺休家族祖传的房屋建筑，现在则由爱尔兰政府经营管理。在爱尔兰的历史上，它因为是17世纪最后一个向克伦威尔大军投降的据点而名声大振。我们在停车场下车，抓紧时间步行前往古城堡游览，高大的城堡位于林恩湖畔，在湖光山色的碧波荡漾映衬下显得景色别致，残旧的古堡给优雅的湖光增添了历史的韵味。这也许就是所谓“残缺的美”。在这里还有装饰的很整洁的马车，拉着游客在附近游逛，这也是一种别有风味的体验。当我们下车的时候，古堡的上空还可以看到局部的蓝天，但很快就浮云笼罩，随后紧接着就是风雨交加。爱尔兰的天气风雨相伴且变化无常，来之前就有所耳闻，如今亲身体验深感言符其实。

這是一座中世紀城堡，實際上它是tower house，並不單單是Castle。Castle主要功能是防衛。Tower house是具有防衛功能的居住性城堡。在歐洲這類城堡非常多，但Ross castle位於林恩湖邊，夕陽下和晚上亮燈後都非常漂亮。
