Knaresborough Castle and Courthouse Museum

A really nice place to visit to begin a stay in Knaresborough. The castle grounds are lovely and worth a stroll, especially if you have young children. There are lovely views over the viaduct.

Highly recommend friends who like the natural scenery! Transportation: 45 minutes direct from Leeds Railway Station to the town. You can go through the tunnel to the castle first, take a panoramic view, then go all the way down to the river, and finally return to the train station. You can also go to the river first after coming down from the train station, and then go all the way up to the castle to take a panoramic view 👍

Not far from Harrogate, in another beautiful town, free to visit. It was built in the 12th century and is high above the valley. Now there are almost only ruins left, still very shocking! Nearby medieval streets and shops can walk around to see and buy. There is a tea room that started in 1720.
