Built in 1928, the charming neo-classical building started out life as a manual telephone exchange before becoming British Malaya’s first mechanical exchange a decade later.The building was set to be demolished in the 1980s, but was ultimately saved in time by then prime minister Tun Mahathir, and the National Archives of Malaysia subsequently declared the building a historic landmark.Covering three floors, the museum adopts an interactive approach, helping keep the experience as fun as possible.There is a library on-site that is accessible to the public on weekdays. The museum is located next to the Maybank Numismatic Museum.

The museum is close to the purple bus route and can be reached through a small yard. There is no one in the kiosk, everything looks a little out of control and no one manages it. However, after going up the stairs, everything is in order. The museum is located in a corner and air-conditioned. Artifacts and displays on the first floor tell the history of telecommunications in Malaysia and the rest of the world. Computers and other modern equipment are available upstairs. Because I am a telecom practitioner, I am more curious. I arrived on Saturday morning. The ticket was 11 MYR for foreign adults and 6 MYR for locals, but I only received 6 MYR 😀. The first floor introduced the history of telecom development. The second floor free audio-visual hall was also very good.

The Telecommunications Museum is close to the forest canopy rainforest walk, open from 9 to 17 o'clock every day. The ticket fee is MYR 5 for local residents and MYR 10 for foreigners. Visitors can use the free network upstairs. The exhibits are very suitable for learning and are very good for studying the history of telecommunications. There are some interesting telecommunications projects, detailed in English and Malay. There are crafts and exhibitions on the first floor that showcase the history of telecommunications in Malaysia and elsewhere in the world.

they have 2 type of gallery when i visited, one is free entry and another one is rm15/entry.

went with friends last weekend, its not big but still just nice for a free entry museum.

if you dont know where to go, just consider to come here with friends. its still worth.

Good for a short visit if you're near masjid jamek, its walking distance from lrt.

they display a lot old type of telephone for us to view. its so unique and nice.
