I stopped by on the way to Ine for sightseeing on the Tango Peninsula. It was a huge rock on the Gogahama coast of Kyotango City, and it was impressive to see the clear sky standing in the back of the majestic hall 々. It is characterized by a straight rough 々 rock surface of columnar basalt, and is one of the few natural rocks in Japan. It is called 'tateiwa' because it stands up, and it is a sightseeing spot representing Kyotango of Sanin coast geo park.
After visiting the Kyogamisaki Lighthouse at the tip of Tangoshima Island, it takes about 20 minutes by car along the coast. You can park your car nearby and go near Oiwa. Column joints made of magma during earthquakes. It is an overwhelming natural landscape.
It is a rock with a height of 20 M or more of a columnar joint right next to Sanin Geopark and Road Station Tenki Tenki Village. There is a bridge in front of the huge rock facing the Sea of Japan, and you can take pictures to your heart's content from there.
It is said that this rock, which is a scenic tachiiwa, a basalt with columnar joints and has a surrounding area of 1km, was contained in this rock in the place where it became the stage of the legend of extermination of the demon of Prince Maroko.
