Canal Museum

As an important city along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Liaocheng has its rationality to establish the "China Canal Culture Museum". The site is located at the north gate of the ancient city of the water, and it continues to be about one kilometer north. Visitors need to enter the museum from the west gate. The main exhibition hall is on the 3rd floor and there is also a part of the 4th floor. Habitually compare this museum with Yangzhou's "China Grand Canal Museum", the richness of the collection is obviously higher in Yangzhou. The layout of the exhibits is reasonable, but there is no explanation service, no electronic guide rental, and there is a lot of room for improvement in the service.

The museum has five floors, and the lobby on the first floor is a huge sand pan across the city of Liaocheng. It can fully understand the water in Liaocheng City, the water in the city, and the city's water dependency on the city style. The two theme exhibition halls of Canal Culture and Liaocheng History are concentrated on the second and third floors. The three exhibition halls on the second floor are Canal Culture Exhibitions, which introduce the Liaocheng Canal, China Canal, World Canal, and the third floor is Liaocheng Historical and Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall.

Shandong Liaocheng is one of the areas that got the benefits of the canal and was affected by the canal earlier. The Huitong River in the Yuan Dynasty penetrated the hinterland of Liaocheng, and later was known as the throat of the squat, the elbow of the heavens, and the city of Jiangbei.

中国运河文化博物馆票免费参观（凭身份证领取入场券）。中午午休有点长。11点停止入馆，下午2：00开馆。我们到达博物馆已经中午，只好在外面找一家咖啡馆午餐和休息。中国运河文化博物馆规模很大。外观有点酷，三面外形相似，有费孝通先生亲题馆名。一层中间有巨大的大运河沙盘。有楼梯或观光电梯上达2-4层。我们重点参观了二层的运河文化系列和三层的‘聊城历史文物陈列。具体展馆：世界运河陈列馆、中国运河陈列馆、山东运河陈列馆、聊城运河陈列馆以及聊城历史文物陈列馆。馆藏文物全面、丰富，上了一堂世界运河科普知识的大课，收获匪浅。

聊城中国运河文化博物馆坐落于卓越秀美的江北水城，运河古都——山东聊城，它东临古韵悠长的大运河，西依美丽的东昌湖，是聊城市近年来建设的最大的一处集文物收藏、保护、研究、陈列、宣传教育于一体的大型综合类博物馆，也是国内第一座以运河文化为主题的大型专题博物馆 。聊城中国运河文化博物馆建筑面积1.6万平方米，陈列面积近7000平方米。馆名由我国著名社会学家、人类学家、原全国人大常委会副委员长费孝通先生题写。聊城中国运河文化博物馆整体陈列以“运河推动历史，运河改变生活”为主题，旨在全方位、多角度地收藏、保护和研究运河文化，反映和展示运河的古老历史、自然风貌和民俗风情。基本陈列为“运河文化陈列”与“聊城历史文物陈列”。聊城是运河沿线的重要城市之一，聊城与运河有着割不断的历史渊源。隋代开凿的京杭大运河从聊城境内西侧穿过。元代会通河纵贯聊城境内腹地，为聊城带来了数百年的经济和文化繁荣，积淀了丰富的运河文化资源。为传承、弘扬运河优秀的历史文化，聊城在“八五”期间，就提出要建设运河博物馆，并将运河博物馆列入了“八五”计划，后又相继列入“九五”、“十五”发展规划、文化大市建设规划等。经过十余年的努力，运河博物馆于2002年开工建设，2004年完成主体施工。博物馆主体建筑独特雄伟，远看就像一只巨大的漕船，在运河里乘风破浪，昂首前行。开放时间：周二至周日，08:30—11:30，11:00停止入馆；夏秋季：14:30—18:00；春冬季：13:30—17:30。地址：山东省聊城市东昌府区东昌西路88号公交线路：1、东昌宾馆站（K2、K6、K9、K24、K25、K28、23路）东行约150米；2、文化广场路口站（16、139、437路）南行约100米；3、凤凰台站（K3、437路）沿东昌路西行约150米。
